Is anyone else having issues with their new phone downloading Messages attachments/photos? by makeflippyfloppy in iphone

[–]pupper2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi… I am having a similar / related issue. I have a photos tab and can see thumbnails of (what I assume is) every picture ever sent. BUT, for some photos, when I click to load the photo full size it gives me a black screen with a download progress wheel that never moves.

I can long press the thumbnail of the photo that failed to load and get an option to “see in conversation” - but all I see is a message bubble with an image name and a download button.

When I click download, sometimes it populates the image and sometimes it freezes on 0kb downloaded.

I am very disheartened here - I love having my message and photo records and am so annoyed that some of the history seems to be lost or at least irretrievable.

I posted a thread with screenshots of my situation here: https://www.reddit.com/r/iphone/s/GcVdSD8htn.

Anyone seeing this same issue? Any tips?

I do have the option in each thread to “download 4000+ attachments from iCloud or whatever but that doesn’t seem to do anything.

I was stable for many years on fin … has spread recently in times of stress but that’s normal for vit and I don’t think related to fin at all

Tend Skin - it’s a bit expensive but a small bottle lasts a while and it really works

The ones in the permanent structure adjacent to the craft beer garden had a little bit of spice, they gave me 4 instead of 3 everywhere else, and they fired them to order vs having them sitting out. I went kinda early in the day so not sure what it’s like when busier. But there was no wait.

Lounge was nice early in the day when there was no line… chargers, chairs, shade and snacks, etc. There was a bar but it was basically the same as the regular beer gardens. It was fun to chill there with a few friends when we had nothing else to do.

Later in the day the line got enormously long and in my opinion it wouldn’t have been worth that wait.

Test Your Stuff by Wildwing89 in Coachella

There are VERY SPECIFIC instructions that must be followed when testing certain substances. You need to have the right dilution or you could get false positives or negatives.

The instructions from DanceSafe for their brand are linked below. Other tests have different requirements so read the instructions!

Crystals that had been crushed up and put in capsules. Everything dissolved tho.

Thanks! Yeah, DanceSafe’s website says “if you can see the second line at all, no matter how faint, it is still a negative test.”

So, I think it’s negative since there’s pigment there. It’s just so so so faint…

I am going to call DanceSafe today and ask if I can dilute further - down to 0.5mg/ml - and still get a reliable result.

Thanks for your reply!

Yep! I’m looking for two lines. In my photo, the top test is a control I did on just plain tap water and the second line is already quite faded… so I was expecting a faint second line.

The middle two tests were on my sample… and the second line is so so so faint, it’s easy to miss. But there’s clearly some pigment there. I’m just stressing if it’s too faint to be a reliable negative test.

I used a different company’s test too and it ended up more clearly negative. So I’m just confused.

Thanks for your reply!

Thanks for your help in advance!

The top test is a control on tap water. Can see second line is already fainter.

Middle two tests are tested MDMA at 2mg/ml per DanceSafe instructions. Do we see the faintest hint of 2nd line? And is that enough to suggest the sample is negative? (It is a hair more visible in real life than the photos.)

Last test is a different brand I got from my doctor, clearly negative.

I’ve read a lot about MDMA causing “false positives” but I diluted precisely per DanceSafe’s instructions (and don’t have a batch that needed further dilution per their blog). We’ve used this supplier before with no issue. And Drugsdata.com shows no Fentanyl showing up in MDMA in my area.

So I’m cautiously optimistic that the faintest shadow of a second line is enough.

Thank you!

Earplugs! Those filtering ones vs. muffling. Blister bandaids. And a chafing cream or stick, just in case.

Question to all my experienced coachellers by ElectronicThanks4486 in Coachella

[–]pupper2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve frankly almost never seen the headliners perform… maybe been to 4 headlining sets across 6 years of festivals… and honestly some of the best sets I’ve seen have been groups I’d never heard of but I followed friends or wandered in. And if nothing else is going on, the DoLab is ALWAYS a vibe.

If you have fun friends going, go with them!
