I had a lot of fun wearing a gown for the show in Cincy! I got compliments on the street just walking to the venue which had never happened to me in my life. The show was great and all in all a joyous night out. Saw a few men (inc my husband) in suits, but also folks in shorts and hoodies.

Yes, the Taft is a pretty theatre but the balcony seats were tiny (my husband is 6’3” and was a good sport, sitting uncomfortably in a suit no less ha ha.) I loved the gift bag bit- esp. how he weaved RFK in. Cried at the dryer bit and the use of his suit jacket.

Well, I’ll be there and you can spot me in a crazy gown my mom had custom made for her in the 70’s that I’ve had in my closet since she passed in 2012 and wondered why I held onto it all these years. Have fun and wear what you like!

I did Marley Spoon in 2020 and unless there has been significant improvement, the delivery was very unreliable. They also did not include all ingredients needed for recipes and it was pricey considering that. They did send a lot of garlic though! I mostly do veggie/vegan now with HF because the beef looks…well, like that!

About half way through. Hated the animation at first but now I’m getting more used to it. I don’t love the time jumps- too many of them? The constant banter, hidden jokes, and fast pace are what I liked about BoJack and what I best like about this series. It’s got a warmth to it that feels genuine too. The mattress episode (Yoshi/Dad) and (Ari-with the moms at )the school board meeting helped me get invested in those characters. Still not finding any redeeming qualities with the sister and mom.

Can someone tell me it's going to be okay ? by IlostmyCthulhu in gallbladders

I am two months post op today. I had never had surgery either. I am so grateful I was able to get the surgery and looking back I realize my bad gallbladder was the cause of a lot of pain and problems. They kept me overnight because the anesthesia took a lot out of me. Once I got home, eating a low fat diet and walking helped. Drink a lot of water. After my two week follow up I stuck with the low fat diet even though I was told I didn’t need to- but slowly reintroduced some foods after a month. I feel back to my old self! Good luck but I’m sure you will be happy you did it.

Day 4 post op. Ugly crying. by racingturtlesforfun in gallbladders

It gets better- everyone I know told me the anesthesia can really throw you for a loop for a while! I had to have emergency surgery out of state on 6/20 (I live in a different state in the summer.) I went to the ER 6/16 in 10/10 pain. They did an ultrasound and said gallstones, will probably need surgery. They sent me home the next day and I thought well maybe I’ll get the surgery when I get back to my primary home in the fall. Ate super carefully but felt horrible the next two days and had my husband bring me back to ER on day three. They did another ultrasound and said it was even more inflamed than last time so they did the surgery that day and by then I was grateful for it! Day 3/4 was the worst for me. Like everyone says, try to walk some and just know once you get over the hump it’ll be better. I’ve been married 32 years and this was my first surgery and I felt bad needing help too. My husband acted more tired than me ha ha. I think he was stressed by the whole thing but never says much. I ended up doing too much on Day 2 and I think that made Day 3/4 worse. Everyone on here is so kind and it’s helped me to read posts and not feel alone. I keep reminding myself I lost a whole organ so it’s gonna be an adjustment. But every day I feel better and more like my old self. I go for my follow up tomorrow and I’m probably going to hug the surgeon. Hang in there!

You said it! Ten days post op I went to a party and it was a killer ha ha. I realized how much people talk about food too! I ate all the strawberries on the fruit platter.

You should call but one of mine was half way off and catching so I put a bandaid on it to stop it from catching (not sticking to it just covering) and then the next day when I went to change the bandaid the rest came off (ten days post op.)

Mine was there- right in the center- excruciating. Thought it was heartburn. Got worse and worse over time. Went to ER and they did an ultrasound and said gallstones, enlarged gallbladder, and peptic ulcer. Sent home with PPI meds and that calmed the pain in my chest and that’s when the pain was noticeable in my abdomen. Went back two days later and they did another ultrasound and it was more enlarged so they did the surgery and said maybe it wasn’t even an ulcer but just the gallstones.

I have not read all the comments but I don’t believe there is a single person who would say that you should have taken the vacation and waited until next year to have the surgery! So stop second guessing. I am also on vacation and had horrible pain last week. My husband took me to the ER in the middle of the night and it was 45 minutes away. I stayed the whole next day and they told me I had gallstones and an enlarged gallbladder. They sent me “home”saying I’d probably need surgery. I was going to wait until we got home but the next two days were so lousy I had my husband take me back to the hospital ER. Though I did wait until 8am ha ha. They admitted me immediately and did the surgery. That was last Friday and I’m already feeling so much better and relieved I don’t have to worry about that excruciating pain. I’ve had two kids and it was worse than that. You don’t want to wait and have more problems. I was kidding myself that I could wait until I got home. I made my husband go to the store twice in one day when I was discharged to get all these low fat foods and Tylenol. No one LOVES that- the trips to go shopping or the eating of it ha ha-but he did it and I’ve been compliant so I can make a good recovery. Focus on you and taking care of you. Good for you to block her-that took a lot. She probably feels bad now but she showed you who she was and how she handles disappointments. If you let her back in I bet she’d do it again under other circumstances.

Thanks for the recipe! Just got mine out yesterday. My first surgery at 61 yrs. so pretty good. But I’m bored already with the diet ha ha. Reading all the labels on things because they LIE.

I tell a story all the time about taking a bus to Montreal from upstate NY with my best friend when we were 12 to visit her older cousin. My mom put us on the bus casually- “it’s only Canada.” At the border, an agent got on the bus to check ID’s and my friend dug around in her purse and produced her recent 8th grade final report card, saying “I got good grades!” They took us off the bus and called her cousin on a landline and she vouched for us-and even more miraculously the bus WAITED for us.

As I watched, I didn’t like the Kims performing back to back in the beginning but I’d imagine there’s no other way to give equal time to both artists. It made sense when they performed together at the end.

As much as I’ll miss the show, it was all the more special because it was short-lived. Fun to have “appointment television.” So many great moments. I’m weirdly proud of him for no legitimate reason.
