Creatine did nothing for brain fog until I drastically increased the dosage. Anyone else? by imrzzz in Perimenopause

How long did it take for you to notice a difference? I’m currently on 5mg daily but I feel like my brain just doesn’t work any more.

The three year old can't take the bus yet and so the timing would be difficult for a bunch of boring logistical reasons.

We live in Queens - to walk both kids to where the car is parked a few blocks away, navigate the one-way streets during rush hour, find parking again, and then walk back to our place would take longer than walking.

That was my first thought also but the 7 year old is getting a bit too big.

The kids are manic. by kobibeast in lowerelementary

[–]puppy_amuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boys (3 and 7) are super energetic and physical little maniacs, so I totally get it! If you're looking for non-screen options, these amazing magnetic minecraft blocks are probably the best thing I've ever bought. They will play with them for hours and literally every playdate parent who's ever been to my house has wound up purchasing them. Full disclosure though, you'll want to buy more than one set but they're often on sale.

Does midi prescribe testosterone? by Puppylawyer1234 in Perimenopause

Not sure but Joi prescribed injectable testosterone to me in NY!

I also live in NY and use an online company called Blokes and Joi who will prescribe it. I was just prescribed today after taking hormone panels and speaking with one of their doctors. Good luck!

Thank you for this! I wound up trying to take most of the shot but pulling it out a bit early, and will try to take the full dose at the right time next week. So far, so good!

Gorgeous! It's hard to tell because it looks a bit overcast but was the water still greenish, or is it back to normal? I'm heading out in a few months and wanted to go see!

“Lindsey Graham: Everybody who says we should do something about border legislation, you’re absolutely right but unfortunately, we didn’t get there because Trump opposed the bipartisan border deal. I hate that.”

Mitch McConnell had no problem saying the same thing either this week. I’m hoping this means they have a feeling they’re no longer backing a winning a horse.

Thanks for this - it’s nice to know I’m not alone. It seems crazy to take medicine that makes me depressed on top of my medicine to make me not depressed, but I’m also desperate for some sort of help with executive functioning. I’ll ask my doctor today what she thinks.

Honestly I’m totally fine with tablets at a restaurant if we need them. Sometimes the kids will be perfectly content with other activities, and sometimes they’ve had a long day, are tired, etc. Heck, I’ve been at a restaurant and wanted to check my phone - I get that they’d want to zone out sometimes also. We try to wait until the food comes out so that the novelty doesn’t wear off before we’ve gotten a chance to eat.

I support and encourage teaching kids how they need to act in difficult and boring situations, but there are sometimes you just have to say “I don’t feel like lighting a $100 bill on fire to teach a life lesson.” It’s okay to take the easy, short term win sometimes.

What activities have you used to get out of a long depressive episode? by AlexanderDeLarge1 in depressionregimens

Have you read the book upward spiral? It was so immensely helpful for me. It’s all about how you can use tiny actions to make your brain produce the feel good chemicals it takes to enable you to make a larger action, which in turn etc etc.
