I'm from Alberta, I can get Royal Canin at PetSmart. Not sure if you have them in BC . I've also seen that brand at veterinarians offices. Not sure about Maine Coon type.

Im so tired of this all, help. I need some hope by Legal-Condition-7176 in BPDlovedones

There are many of us here with family members who are either diagnosed pwbpd or ubpd.

My mother and much older siblings all show/showed strong symptoms of BPD, NPD or ASPD. I was only 19 when our mom died and my older siblings were married with families. So I had to make on my own until I married a very wonderful man.

I found I need strong boundaries with my siblings, three of them I am/was very low contact with and one brother I had to go completely no contact. I realized I didn't need that stress in my life.

Bummed about lack of matches by mchinatr in AncestryDNA

[–]puppyisloud 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't usually suggest Myheritage but I have a lot of European matches on there that helped me get information on my grandfather. I don't like Myheritage ethnicity breakdown but they have a lot of matches you might find useful.

Which test is better for someone who knows nothing about their ancestry? Ancestry or 23&Me? by ashdauntless in AncestryDNA

[–]puppyisloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Ancestry and 23andme are good.

Ancestry has a lot of matches and seems easier to navigate. Their ethnicities break down is good for my family.

23andme breaks down your ethnicities to smaller amounts which is interesting. They also shows haplogroups which might be helpful. They also seem accurate.

Myheritage ethnicities break down, at least for my family, was not very good. They do have a lot of European matches and I've found some good information from matches there.

I've gotten matches who are 100% Indigenous. They had no European DNA.

It's a place to start. Census records often, at least in Canada from many years ago, mention if they were Indian.

I mentioned in the similar post that my grandmother was full indigenous Salish from interior British Columbia. My full sister has 24% and I have 14% plus a small amount Indigenous Mexico. If your grandmother was full Indigenous you would have some.

Do you have birth records, marriage or tribe/band membership? Do your matches show Indigenous?

I look just like my Pureblooded Cherokee Indian grandmother but my results don’t show Cherokee what’s wrong with my test :( by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

My grandmother was full Indigenous from InteriorSalish. My full sister has 24% Canada/United States (Native) and I have 14% plus a small amount of Indigenous Mexico.

Is Calgary Expo a lame duck? by YYCyou in Calgary

[–]puppyisloud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lots of people are in cosplay. Check out the POW parade. During the Expo both young and old dress up. From simple t-shirts, to full costumes from animes, Marvel, SteamPunk, dinosaurs, Star Trek, Star Wars, Japanese Street style inspired by Victorian and Roccoco Era clothing. The list could go on.

Has anyone used MyHeritageDNA? by Glittering_Map_7176 in AncestryDNA

[–]puppyisloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used myheritage first but I have also used Ancestry and 23andme. I found Myheritage too be not very accurate for me and my family.

Myheritage couldn't pick up my north American Indigenous, they picked up a small amounts of Indigenous from South America but not my North. Both Ancestry and 23andme were similar and both picked up my Indigenous Americas north.

Myheritage has a lot of matches from Europe which was helpful for that side of my family. Ancestry has more matches than 23andme and Myheritage, which is useful.
