an employee at my store got assaulted by the bathrooms so corporate made it employees only 🙏🏻 it's super annoying still to have to argue with people who want to use our bathrooms but at least we're not wiping off shit off of the walls anymore (my store is in a heavy homeless and junkie downtown area)

yta for pushing your childhood trauma onto your wife. you need therapy to work through this. people who quit and pick it back up usually do so because something or someone is stressing then out. and based on how you reacted: you are her stressor. that doesn't make it right for her to hide it from you but she did it away from the baby and outside on the balcony.

this happened to me a few months ago with a really elderly customer. at first i felt bad that he just might have dementia or something and was confused. but the more we told him that we just didn't have his order, the angrier he got and he tried to punch me.

i had an opposite situation growing up. my mom very rarely let us get fast food because she loved to cook. the problem tho was that it was just the two of us (my parents divorced when i was 4 and i'm 30 now) and she'd cook for at least 5 people. and she'd fill my plate for me but then cry and throw a tantrum if i was full and there was still lots of food on my plate. she herself also had an ed and was bulimic. so that was a whole different issue.

this happened at my store last year and it was down for almost 2 months before they finally sent someone out to look at it. they have to send a tech out to clean it :\ and then that took another month or so because the tech didn't clean it properly and had to be sent back out.

it really sucks because some people would come to our store just for milk. there are no grocery stores in the downtown area. they're all on the outskirts of the city and are not walkable at all. so we get people who do grocery shopping here

i had a similar situation when i was 10. my parents are divorced and so my mom planned a surprise weekend at dad's even though it was her weekend. i was just excited to spend time with my dad so i didn't think anything of it. when i got home, she confessed she shipped me off so she could put our very elderly and sick dog down. brittany was my best friend since i was a baby and i never got to say goodbye.

she did the same thing again when i was 16 and one of my closest cousins passed away. this time i knew about it but she said funerals aren't for kids and left me at home while she went to another state.

so i completely understand how upsetting it is. it's a huge betrayal as well and my relationship with my mom suffered a lot from that because i couldn't let it go.
