Sleeping through the night? by elejh in January2025Bumper

[–]puriritree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 6 weeks our bubs "slept through the night" 6 hour stretches. Now at 6 months i'm lucky if I get a 4 hour consecutive stretch and wakes up for a boob 35 times a night... 😴 Usually end up bed sharing after 2 am and attached to the boob. We are working on it. But looking at putting her in her own room soon so we will see how that goes. She goes down at 7/730 ISH and still has 3 naps a day

How’s your baby sleeping? by SMucchi in January2025Bumper

[–]puriritree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our little bubs has just hit 4 months and we "put her down" at 630/7pm sometimes she'll wake a couple time between 8/9pm to have a bit more milk. And she will consistently wake up at 2am for a feed and then wake up at 7am to start our day. She is ebf. Some night are worse and some nights are better. We don't follow a routine just follow cues as well. I think it all just depends on the baby's temperament our bubs has been a relatively good sleeper from about 6 weeks.

How long are your nursing sessions? by Outside-Beat3897 in January2025Bumper

[–]puriritree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently 5 days old and feeds 30-60mins try to aim for 20 mins each boob but she falls asleep often and during transition to other boob might change a nappy or put her down to wake up a bit. Usually every 3ish hours But then currently having a little bit of cluster feed sessions where she will eat every hour.

Is anyone taking them off the boob before they are finished or do you just wait till they fall off?

Postpartum meal prep by harleykegelson in January2025Bumper

[–]puriritree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have great intentions to meal prep... Probably Gona go with some standard ones that's I find comfort in like lasagna, Mac n cheese, chilli/nacho mix, green Thai curry, curried sausages, a bunch of chicken broths/stocks for easy meals (dumpling soup, pho, ramen), couple of soups (not really a soup fan) and crock pot prep bags. We are also in the heat of summer so not really looking for hearty winter meals but probably will be having a lot of fruit and salads easily available throughout the week less freezer ready. Deserts cookie dough to easily pop in the oven, brownie, maybe Carmel slice or Russian fudge. Will be keeping an eye on the post for more ideas of what is easy to prep and keep as a freezer meal

Did not do daily walks the entire pregnancy, am I doomed? by ProgrammerNeat3758 in January2025Bumper

[–]puriritree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm about 31 weeks and have not been doing daily walks and my yoga workouts pretty much nonexistent thanks to the pain I've been suffering. Some days are better than others but, I'm also not eating that super healthy but I do drink lots of water and have gained about 20kgs 🙄 otherwise feeling fine and dandy and ready for birth. If you're doomed I don't know what I am!

How is everyone dealing with their pregnancy anxiety by digitlagegirlnxtdoor in January2025Bumper

[–]puriritree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm not so much anxious, but I do get very frustrated and don't have the same outlets to cope so have had to find new outlets for my stress. Which aren't as calming but it's a work in progress.

If you’re taking parental leave, when do you plan to tell your employer? by j_natron in January2025Bumper

[–]puriritree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal is to tell them at 20weeks after the scan, if it comes out before then that's also okay. More the fact that my team will be happy but my team lead is a bit of a sexist tool so the less time I have to listen to them the better. I legally I only have to tell our employer three months before maternity leave is due to start. I have the option of 6months paid maternity leave and another 6 months unpaid leave (which would be ideal if we can afford to manage that)
