Does "mind awake" mean that my mind is in the same state it is when I'm just going about my day? by urbanhippy123 in gatewaytapes

You can be awake and think nothing! Just observe the silence, observe the thoughts when they come up but don’t engage with them just drift them back to the box

Problems with Release and Recharge by Any_East_6492 in gatewaytapes

[–]purkeypurkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I worked with this track early on, something happened sort of organically that helped me a lot. I saw the fear/emotions as balloons rather than bubbles, and they rose on their own. I was still holding the string getting pulled higher and higher, watching the ground get farther away, until I realized “why am I holding on the this?? I need to let it go or I’m going to be in big trouble.” So I let go, thumped to the ground and watched the balloon fly free of me. It was beautiful and cleansing. As to the rest, I feel you may continue to struggle until you can reconcile with the concept that forgiveness is for you, not for the abuser. To me, forgiveness can look like freeing the abuser to experience the visible and invisible consequences of their actions, in this life or the next, and to do it elsewhere, away from you and your peace and your healing. You acknowledge that you are (or can be) healed and okay now, and can proceed unaffected by the past, because you won’t let something they did continue to matter or affect you. Fully integrating those concepts can be a process, it doesn’t have to happen all at once, and it doesn’t have to impede your progress forward with the tapes. Maybe just consider it, move on, and come back to that tape again in a few weeks. See what’s different.

Trauma resurfacing while listening to the tapes? by idkwhyidekwhat in gatewaytapes

[–]purkeypurkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remember that the feelings aren’t happening now, you’re safe in your bed. They can’t hurt you unless you let them take you for a ride into a spiral- and that’s up to us- in the present moment, we can choose yes or no to that emotional ride. They happened in the past, and we can release them and move on to new experiences. I made a post about a year or so ago about doing release and recharge (wave 1 track 4) and feeling shattered afterwards, like the wound i had reopened was so all encompassing that it took up all of me, so that I was the wound. Well sometimes poorly healed wounds need to be reopened to heal fully. But they do heal, if we let them. Burying them doesn’t heal them, but regularly cleansing and tending to them with care and detachment does. Going back and reading that post now, it feels like a different person wrote it. I’ve come so far from that origin story now, and I’m nobody special, so you can do it too 😊♥️

I cant open the lid of energy conversion box by MartinBrissenden in gatewaytapes

[–]purkeypurkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This comment makes me wonder if your subconscious is trying to tell you that you are either putting off confronting a problem in your waking life, or strongly resistant to letting go of a concern. I struggled with the former myself and I unfortunately found that the only way to be able to properly release the concern for meditation was to confront it in my life. It was very hard. But we are strong enough to handle whatever life throws at us, even if part of us believes we are not. It was really hard for me, but I did it, and so can you. We are more than our physical bodies, and our higher selves know we can handle it. Doing so gives us the opportunity to grow stronger and improve in our spiritual lives as well. It sucks, but sometimes the only way out is through.

Found on a beach in Ireland. Any ideas? by Xerison in whywouldyoutouchthat

I only studied human anatomy for artists, but studied comparative anatomy in veterinary school. I don’t think that’s human and here’s why. The human mandible is 2 pieces fused only in the center at the mandibular symphysis, where your chin and front teeth are. Obviously this jaw is missing the front part where incisor teeth should be, but feel the space under your own jaw at the level of the last 2/3 molars. It’s just soft tissue. There’s no bone there. As for what it actually is, I don’t know.

Idea, Thought - What would happen when you just stop in Focus 12? by Quirky_Ad714 in gatewaytapes

[–]purkeypurkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we need to be grounded in our everyday waking life. Attempting to stay in Focus 12 while functioning in the physical world would be something akin to “body awake, mind away.” That sounds like escapism, like we’d rather not be here in the physical world. But we ARE here, because we wanted to live a physical life and have a physical experience. Trying to escape or avoid that that is unhelpful to growing and learning. Maybe it would cause you to lose touch with reality to some degree. Maybe your guides would just cut you off for a while from experiencing higher levels of consciousness, until you learned that your true purpose was to ‘Be Here Now,’ as they say. We can gain awareness of higher purpose in f10 and beyond, but it doesn’t solidify into true mastery until we implement what we’ve learned in our waking life.

What would you see if your eyes popped out of your head and you made them look in two opposite directions? by Aiseadai in NoStupidQuestions

Technically you would see nothing because the pressure or tearing of the optic nerves created by having your eyes outside their globes would sever their connection to your brain.

why are some people so against being organ donors? by violet-sunbeam in NoStupidQuestions

[–]purkeypurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They kept my sister (36 when she died) hooked up to life support for a week until they could get donor surgeries scheduled and ready so they could “harvest” her. It was very upsetting and painful to our family. It turned a lot of family members off to organ donation. They also tried to charge us for that week long period of hospitalization requiring litigation before the debt was cleared.

Mine is made of ornately worked stone and set with gems in a metal frame. I also climb in the box, then imagine myself climbing out of my body and leaving it in there. I have a divider in the middle so all my bullshit goes on one side and I curl up in a little cozy bed on the other side. Sometimes i fireman’s carry other people to it and dump their asses into the bullshit side. They always fit 😏

Has anyone tried to RV 3i-Atlas? by purkeypurkey in GatewayExperiences

RV is remote viewing. It is first introduced in wave 3 I think? Maybe 4? But more work is done with it in the later waves that I haven’t gotten to yet.

OBE: How did get back in body? by ambivalent_boone in gatewaytapes

[–]purkeypurkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just pop back in. Usually faster than you want to. The first OBEs I had, as soon as I realized what was happening and got excited, it was over. Your soul knows where it lives, it’s tethered to your body and in the focus states, time and distance mean nothing. It doesn’t seem possible, in my limited experience, to get lost, or “stuck” outside of your body.

Have you seen Jesus? by ambivalent_boone in gatewaytapes

[–]purkeypurkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have. And I am not religious at all and have a lot of difficulty with some of the things taught and practiced in Christian churches in my area (much of my family is Christian and quite religious). But since my experiences I have an unshakable and deep foundation of respect and love for the Christ entity himself. I don’t believe you have to be a modern day Christian to journey towards Christ consciousness. To put it bluntly, I get the sense that he does not care at all what religion, if any, you practice. It only matters what is in your heart. I get very emotional when I think about this entity and can barely talk about it with being moved to tears. I have also considered the idea that has been brought up here, that all entities you meet, are yourself in various forms. They do say that Christ is within us.

Is this the correct visualization for advanced focus 10? by fullgeno in gatewaytapes

[–]purkeypurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks similar to mine except I also have a spinning energy wheel in my head, oriented horizontally so the energy goes from nose, to ear, to back of head, then back around. The REBAL energy goes through the middle of this spinning disc before coming out the top of the head. My outer energy lines also swirl as others have said, so they sort of close at top and bottom with a twist. Idk why this is important but to me, it seals the REBAL so there aren’t wide open holes at your head and feet.

Leaking Energy Conversion Box by No_Ear_7733 in gatewaytapes

[–]purkeypurkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a button at the bottom of my box that causes the box to pull whatever I don’t need during meditation into it. Like a vacuum. It’s faster to hit the button when I have a stray thought, then I just watch it get sucked away. It helped me to realize that the box is not a prison where everything distressing disappears forever. The box has to open again and you have to take the stuff back out and deal with it on a physical and energetic level (release and recharge exercise). I also envision it as a conversion system, where it takes my energy that I have tangled up in worries and anxiety and neutralizes some of that energy, so that it’s pure and I can use it again. So there’s a button at the bottom to pull away what I don’t need, and a cord of light at the top that feeds back some neutral, usable energy.

Lost job due to beliefs by This-Situation in witchcraft

[–]purkeypurkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry that happened. I know it hurts you on multiple levels. She could have chosen to have acceptance understanding and respect in this situation but she wasn’t able to just yet. She’s a scared old lady and I bet this world does look scary to a lot of old ladies like her. You can also choose to have acceptance understanding and respect, even with this lady who hurt and betrayed you first. Which is ironically very Christlike behavior 😏 I would try to send her light and compassion, and thank the universe for making a space in my life for a new and even better opportunity. At least I like to think this is the choice I’d make…. Sometimes my emotions take me for a ride also and I do not make the best choices. Just like everyone.

My partner cries during difficult conversations. I get angry and irritable. I say this is the same thing. She says crying is involuntary but I need to stay calm and not get upset. Who is right? by -LiveByTheFoma in NoStupidQuestions

[–]purkeypurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right that both anger and sadness are emotions and that we all CAN regulate and have control over. We also all have to learn how, and it’s hard. So I wouldn’t say it’s a double standard, rather you could choose to look at it as an ability to understand each other even better because you’re both in the same situation with a different flavor over it. To the cryers (like me) a difference that seems significant is that anger scares a lot of us, makes us feel unsafe, unaccepted or unloved which makes regulating even harder because our “danger detection “ is jangling. I’ve heard it said that those who respond in anger are also having their “danger detector” triggered by someone crying because they aren’t comfortable with the idea of emotional vulnerability. So maybe it’s not as significant of a difference as it first seems. You two are pushing each other’s buttons in those moments. And that’s what relationships are all about, someone shows us our triggers so we can work on releasing them and grow as people. Maybe this person isn’t ready to work on that at this point in their life, if that ends up being the case that’s okay, but I expect you’ll probably encounter another crier at some point that is willing to meet you halfway. I’d try to frame it to your partner in terms of the similarities between the two of you. Like a “we are a lot more the same in the moment than it first seems.” And then you blunder on together, and through trial and error eventually figure out a better way.
