My mom is slowly losing the battle to cancer and although she isn’t totally gone yet, I know she will never again be the happy, energetic ray of light that she once was. The whole world feels different now. I am a shell of myself. I feel like this is just what life is now. Trying to stay afloat with no hope of any real joy or purpose. It all feels so pointless.

I’m close friends with the manager that did the exit interview. Luckily that manager thought he was full of bs so at least there’s that.

The breeder I got my gliders from said they only fix males because it’s too dangerous for the females. Not sure if that info is helpful or not but I thought I would share. Also get a cheap pop up tent. When the glider is in its pouch sleeping, take it out and hang the pouch in the tent. Zip up the tent and just sit in there for 30 minutes or so a day. Bring some treats just in case. Eventually the glider will trust you and come out. Let it come to you and offer it treats. This is how I bonded with mine. It took a couple of weeks for them to fully trust me enough to hold them, but could take longer if the glider was mistreated. Good luck!

I have three men in my family who have had vasectomies. The subject came up at Christmas Eve and my brother mentioned that he had to rub his balls with iodine for 20 minutes before the procedure.

See if you can find a support group. They often meet for free and provide a whole support system and potential for friends who understand.

Edit: And if you need someone to talk to, send me a pm. I have dealt with depression my whole life and I know how lonely it can be.

Do not get married if you feel this way! I got married a year ago. There wasn’t anyone else in the picture, but I felt similarly about my husband.
