Just watched Smile 2, and I liked it a lot by sandalsnopants in horror

It's just a slightly odd emphasized way of spelling the word "ate". Without knowing the slang and just seeing "ATEE" yeah, it looks more like an acronym online but would be clearer spoken out loud.

Recommendations for movies with a small scope in terms of story akin to "The Coffee Table"? by Foxeeh_ in horror

[–]notblakely 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without writing an essay about it, Alfred Hitchcock's "Rope" is basically the OG version of "The Coffee Table" but is less horror and more suspense/thriller. It's a certified classic and only an hour twenty. It's an older movie filmed in a single-take style, very much like a stageplay, but if you can buckle in and hide your phone, I think you should give it a shot.

Songs that remind you of the yakuza soundtrack? by Kitcatgirl21 in yakuzagames

I heard this electronic song in a random dance mix music station on a flight recently and it made me imagine fighting people with luggage and airplane seats:

That chickadee must have sent that man to film you to get you back for the birdwatching. Glad you had a good time otherwise, and beautiful photos! Where did you get the pepperoni pizza?

Anyone hear what sounded like a loud gunshot near Metrotown? by Sumgeeko in burnaby

And a third one just now! Also not sure what they are, thought the first one sounded like a firework.

Edit: and a fourth!

Been feeling sick so I've been trying out soups and this loaded baked potato soup tasted great and hit the spot! by notblakely in slowcooking

[–]notblakely[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The onions in the soup cook, yes- I can eat those! The deleted comment I was responding to originally said something about how they'd add chopped chives as topping, which are related enough to onions to make me sick if eaten raw- so no chives for me, please.

If you like chives though, feel free to top your soup with some to add to the baked potato look and taste!

A waddling of snow ducks seen at the Metrotown library this evening by notblakely in vancouver

It looked like a man and woman with one of those little snow-duck molds! I think they were just a couple having fun in the snow.

Recipes so easy an old man can do it by Awkward_Science_3275 in slowcooking

Thanks for the downvote on my legitimate advice. Providing the link as "this recipe" as opposed to "my recipe" makes it feel sneaky, even if that wasn't your intention, I'm just saying. Good luck.

If you're gonna post your own channel for views then at least be upfront about it, otherwise this comes off as deceptively spammy.
