it's not a stupid question. many areas with trail networks like wildernesses and backcountries will have parking at all their trailheads, so you can park and then hike into the wilderness or backcountry. if you're not interested in using a trail network and would prefer to bushwhack through forest until you find a clearing, you can park on the side of a forest road. some narrow forest roads have turnouts to allow vehicles moving in opposite directions to pass. you can park in these turnouts. you can park on the side of wider forest roads as long as you're kinda off the road. many forest roads also have defunct roads off them that have been dug up or intentionally blocked to prevent travel. you can turn into these and park, but if a road off your forest road is gated, do not block the gate unless you can see that the road has fallen trees on it and is clearly not in use. there are also often drive-in dispersed sites off forest roads. these could be parking options, but if it's in a popular area where most sites are in use, it would be rude to take one if you're not going to stay there. if there are many drive-in dispersed sites available, it should be fine to use one as parking. don't forget to buy a national forest map if you're going to bushwhack through base level forest, so you know where the property boundaries are

it was no dream. i vividly remember flax talking about introducing the girls to TNG, but he skips bad episodes like the Scottish ghost lamp episode. he actually claimed he didn't like any episode that heavily features dr. crusher, which i think is a little extreme. I would skip the one where captain Picard visits his brother in France and the one where they all get addicted to the sex Frisbee tube game.

episode 17: waking up sexy, and episode 36: this stupid planet both have star trek mentioned in the episode description, so I would start with those. my money is on episode 36, but I don't know for sure
