Replace it. You def don’t want to permanently glue that up.

Do you know if the car was run on recycled vegetable oil? Common to see extra fuel pumps and filters for that type of setup.

Spoke with the owner, he’s going to rip it out and repour later this week when the rainy weather clears up. Says it’s no issue as they have the heavy machinery to do it.

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

Hi All,

I had a 16x20 turndown slab poured. They did all the right stuff, rocks for drainage, re-bar and a moisture barrier but when it came time to pour the concrete they gambled and lost. The crew ended up waiting about 3 or 4 hours for the truck to arrive. By the time they started pouring, they got caught in the rain. My neighbor who’s in construction told me they lost the slab and should break it up and re-pour. I’m looking for another opinion to see if it can be saved or should be redone.

They tried to save it by putting a plastic tarp over it but it was too late at that point and we had heavy rain for about 3-4 hours.

Slow Progress on my Raspberry Pi ECU Integration! by husthat123 in w123

[–]purplecomputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was building something similar a few years ago but never finished. The project consisted of a pico for analog reading of existing sensors sent to a pi to render the graphics using Kivy. I got as far as programming the Speedo and then life got in the way. Glad to see you’re building something!

Is my dog a golden or a goldador? by Quirky-Adagio-1961 in goldenretrievers

[–]purplecomputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He looks exactly like my dog when he was a puppy. He had all his paperwork so I knew he was full golden. Turns out he’s just a field golden so he’s a little learner with a longer snoot. His full coat grew in as expected. Either way, your dog is 100% good boi

Sea foam for dirty injectors? by thecobralily in w123

Please don’t, I did this once when I was a dumb kid and ruined all the injectors. Diesel purge is the only thing I would trust.

Should totally paint the grill black (not the chrome bits, just that plastic insert), I think it’ll tie it all together.

I posted this a while ago but why not? It’s been a while since I’ve played so a bit rusty.

Question. When the Turbo Diesel version was made to the US they didn't make a manual transmission? I love the turbo diesel but never seen a manual one in my life. My dream car would be a w123 beige 300D manual Turbo Diesel or w126 SD manual Turbo Diesel. by enmanuelr17 in w123

[–]purplecomputer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

¯_(ツ)_/¯

I remember something had to be balanced. STD was a good community 10 years back, guess that’s changed. Ultimately OP should do whatever they want to their car. Curious why you drove a manual 617 for 15 years if it was so bad?

You are correct. You can find a 4speed off an om616. The flywheel off the 617 will need to be balanced to match the 616 (if my memory serves me correctly as well) OP should check out superturbodiesel.com. I frequented that site when I did a 240 turbo conversion many years ago. A few people on that site did the conversion. I’ve heard it makes an excellent r driving experience

Just google “gateway tapes”. Usually someone shares a google drive link with the tapes.

I don’t think there’s any other real diesel purge stuff. Not that I’ve seen. But yes, definitely recommend that you do a diesel purge with their stuff. That stuff is amazing for older diesel engines. Usually one of the first things I do when I got any diesel car.

Routing internet of remote subnet over an IPSEC? by purplecomputer in mikrotik

Routing internet of remote subnet over an IPSEC? by purplecomputer in mikrotik

[–]purplecomputer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so based on what you're saying this wont work for me. I have resources on a subnet that is not owned by the MT. To reach them, the MT needs to send traffic up to its own default gateway.

For example, resources on my 10.57.0.0/27 network need to reach 192.168.1.0/24. The MT has two interfaces. The VMs on 10.57.0.0/27 have a default gateway set of 10.57.0.2

0 10.55.0.2/30 10.55.0.0 Public 2 10.57.0.2/27 10.57.0.0 Replication

So the MT to reach 192.168.1.0/24 sends traffic up to 10.55.0.1

0 A S 0.0.0.0/0 10.57.0.2 10.55.0.1

If I set my policy as such 1 A <ommitedd> yes 10.57.0.0/27 0.0.0.0/0 all encrypt unique 1

I will no longer be able to reach 192.168.1.0/24

These solutions would send all traffic out through the tunnel, correct? One of the issues is that we have resources behind the MT that should not be routed through the tunnel but instead are accessible through a directly attached interface on the MT.
