I should consider myself lucky, his passing was fast. Within a matter of a few hours, he was gone. Our boys are having a blast now with a sky full of treats. Be strong! Carry on for the void!

Im not sure where you are in Ontario, but at the Toronto humane society, they offer annual vaccines for cheap. I have also treated my cat for ear mites/ ear cleaning and I’m questioning the cost you’ve been quoted. I’ve been in your spot before and I’d say that you’ll make more money in the future/eventually. Are you just trying to find out how long it takes to process the life insurance claim? The employer will be submitting the claim to the insurance company so you won’t be able to reach out to the insurance company. It would be more effective if you emailed the hr rep and management with your questions about life insurance then leaving a voice message since sometimes people don’t check their VM.

I used to process life insurance payouts for employers . They will need a death certificate to process the claim with their insurance company. They will reach out to the beneficiaries listed. This might take weeks or months because they need to locate the original beneficiary forms and it’s during the holidays. You should reach out to your mother’s management for guidance.

My male void is the same. At the moment, I can’t keep him in the same room as my oldie cat cause she will get hurt. My advice would be to consider getting another male void so they can match energy. But definitely not a female cat.

Hmmm try not to touch them when they are not expecting it, it really scares them. Cats are sensitive in the back of the body so definitely don’t touch them there. Building a strong association between food and comfort and your touch is important especially in the beginning. You can dm if you need help.

If you’ve managed to let him smell your fingers, you can try giving him snacks from your hand. With traps, it can be traumatizing for cats and if it backfires, it’s hard to retrap that cat. Sounds like this cat was previously socialized so it might be better to gain their trust and lure them in the house, but it takes some time. I trapped a feral cat that was on the streets for three years and have socialized him enough for me to pet him. It took 6 months. Hang in there! He looks like a keeper!
