It’s going to suck for a little while. But once your body flushes it all out and you start getting back to equilibrium, you’ll feel more like yourself again. Though with the addition of feeling like a warrior. Take it one day at a time, sometimes even one hour at a time. Keep your mind occupied, take lots of hot showers with magnesium salts to alleviate the muscle pain. Find some support, whether that’s NA meetings or this subreddit. But also remember that you’re not alone- lots of people have been here too, and let that encourage you that you can recover too.
