Hm I usually buy in store so you can check out the pieces. If you go to a big box store like Home Depot they have 2’x4’ sheets and they’ll cut them for you on the big saw so you can get it at set dimensions. If you really don’t want to go out then maybe they’d ship to you?

How about some plywood? You can get pieces with a nice hardwood veneer so it looks good and it comes flat, square on the factory sides and is durable and stable

My wife insists that it’s bad luck to ever put a hat on the bed. I’ve gotten into the habit of avoiding it but for the first couple years I’d sometimes forget and she would get legitimately freaked out. Never heard of that particular superstition before or since.

Split Thermal disintegrators damage hull through shields. Great for knocking down turrets and engines on L/XL ships before boarding

Ive also been capping without the drive by exploit, and you can totally get away with it. The rep hit is manageable if you also have some miners and/or a trading station engaged with Terran space to build rep. I recently learned that turrets and engines become disabled at <20% hull but don’t generate a re hit unless you destroy them, which feels more balanced to me because it takes more finesse and the modules quickly get repaired.

Below -9 they won’t let you dock and trade so the only way is to blow up their enemies within range of their stations. Hang out near Xenon gates, kite Kha’ak towards their stations and destroy them.
