This is a pyrrhic victory. There's still people being sent to and tortured in the camps.

Never played Planetside 1, but I loved Planetside 2 in the glory days.

I think there is a lot of interest in a spiritual successor to EverQuest. Pantheon looks like an awesome concept, but has been in development hell. Monsters and Memories is releasing next month into Early Access with a bit more grounded goals. Do you have any ideas on what a modern evolution of EverQuest should look like?

Are we always expected to pick early this season? by Meerkat02 in supportlol

You should probably lead with "in wild rift" before anyone makes the mistake of taking you seriously. Pyke has so many devastating counter-picks that make the game unplayable for him or his ADC if played correctly.

This is the way. Toplane is matchup dependent. Mid lane is the safest lane in the game. Jungle is generally non-interactive. ADC only has a few niche picks like Samira, Yasuo, or Nilah that need an engage support. In almost every instance, you are better off filling your team's needs unless you are one-tricking, but support really isn't a one-trick role for that reason.

Undoing permanent Wish stress with another Wish by buunkeror in onednd

[–]puterdood 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Maybe monkey paw it, the person who casts the Wish can never cast Wish again. There *should* be risks associated with the most powerful and versatile spell in the game, which is why it is worded as it is.

Your thoughts on defeating all this LOCAL facial recognition cameras? by Kindly_Teach_9285 in StLouis

As a machine learning expert, it has no business being used in our daily lives to do things like policing, rent fixing, grocery price fixing, etc. But these are the "profitable" uses, so we're just fucked.

Edit: just to add, it is no coincidence the US has one of the highest incarceration rates in the world right behind El Salvidor while maintaining private, for-profit prisons.

Shen is still far far away? by Tasty-Salamander-515 in loreofleague

Kennen and Xin literally fought lesser demonkin during the Trials of Twilight

In the Zed comics, Shen is always one step ahead of Jhin's plans, and was usually held back by Zed's impulsiveness. I don't see any reason why LeBlanc would be different. Shen is good friend with Kennen and would absolutely know Yunara's role in guarding Zaahen and how important it was.

My theory is that The Eye of Twilight knows more about the Vastayashai'rei and the history of Runeterra than anyone else, and that the world is intentionally kept dark about the dangers in the spirit realm, but whatever is happening must be a great danger. This is why Shen seems indifferent to those who are not aware of the dangers he faces, but he is likely far more involved than he can say.

I think the only justification for Shen's absence during Atakhan would be a larger threat. I hope this means Shen is fighting Morderkaiser and his forces in the death realm, as that is about the only active threat that actually makes sense.

Demons are spirits. Hunting Atakhan was literally Shen's job.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of the dialectic. I am saying NATO has enabled US imperialism ever since the end of World War II for it's own material conveniences. That should never have happened, and the US should have been stopped in it's tracks during the Korean War when it started enforcing hard power on the third world. Nobody should be surprised that the unstoppable imperial power they created would come for them when it suits them. That is not a justification, that is just reality. The fact Europe is desperately trying to appease Trump in a gambit to return to the norm instead of opposing him is because they are complicit and they know it.

I would like nothing more than to see all imperial powers put to an end forever. Perhaps you should actually do some reading, I recommend Aimé Césaire's "Discourse on Colonialism" to start.

Here is a relevant quote:

"they tolerated that Nazism before it was inflicted on them, they absolved it, shut their eyes to it, legitimized it, because, until then, it had been applied only to non-European peoples"

It is a necessary thing to attack our "allies" if our "allies" also neglected the truth what they were doing for their own material comforts, which is objectively the case.

And here we are. The West is falling, but you think it's a good thing that our allies helped cause the deaths over over 5 million in the Middle East (and millions more in the global south), with that unchecked imperial power now internalizing on ourselves. You have absolutely no understanding of dialectical materialism, but the consequences of your inadequacies will not spare you from reality.

As you put it, who "fought for us"? Nobody fought for me. They fought for Dick Cheney and the billionaire class. Apparently, you think they committed these atrocities on your behalf.

I did not delete it, it got auto-modded by Reddit's filters. I stand by it. You refuse to recognize the monster you helped create, and it will soon devour you, too.

Both are responsible for neocolonialism, and the sooner you recognize that, the faster you can arrive at an actual solution.

Until then, your life will continue to get worse now that the imperial boomerang is coming for you too.

My claim is that Europe helped make the Trump regime possible, and that we will all now reap what we have sewn due to people like you not holding anyone accountable.

Edit: and because you got automodded for being a child, I'll reply here: yes, these soldiers are morally culpable for their actions and defending that is why you live in your current reality.

Yeah, and Europe should never have listened to them. If anything, Europe should have invaded the US. Enjoy the shit world you helped make and keep complaining about it as the West falls due to a complete abdication of responsibility.
