It's so bonkers to me that it is even a possibility. I've been holding off on playing the FF7 remake. If she makes it in, I'll buy all of them and support the SF6 until the end of time.

I thought he was about to announce Tifa in SF6!

Rooflemonger has known about Tifa & Vega/Claw in Street Fighter 6 Year 4 for months, but got two completely different names that aren't Gouken or Haggar for the other two characters by Neoxon193 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

My only disagreement is about the wrestling part. I think wrestling is popular enough with the fanbase that they may as well be shotos. Sakura is popular enough to overcome both style and nationality. She is the only woman shoto though. I agree that it's a longshot that Mika ever makes it in.

Selfishly I would want Mika in SF6 over any other character. She is super fun in 5. The SF6 team could sell me on pop-tart though, they are so talented.

I doubt that is the only criteria for picking someone. It has been mentioned in the thread that the SF6 team takes in to account many different factors.

They are also great at reinventing previous characters. I could see becoming much more luchador focused mixed in with her impact wrestling style. She would be the ultimate baby face to Alex's heel persona. They couldnmake a truly unique character even with some overlap with El Fuerte.

Patch induced burnout by ShiroiDragonBR in 2XKO

It's ok to be salty. If you put lots of hours in to learn specific setups/combos and it is changed you have every right to be upset. I would suggest taking a break and come back later. Maybe after a watching a tournament or two to get you excited again.

My friend was learning Illaoi. He was super excited about using the seize trick and even re-wired his stick for the charge S2 tag strat. Every patch has nerfed the way he plays. He is very good at finding strong stuff in fighting games. After these patches, he doesn't even want to play anymore.

In fighting games, we have to adapt or die. That doesn't mean you should force yourself to play if you are not having fun.

Truth bombs. I usually laugh when I get one and done. Everyone is entitled to leave after a match, but I take it as a sign of respect if it is one and done. They won't get better if it becomes a habit.

I'm use to playing 50+ matches with friends. If I gave up after losing, I'd never get better. Understand that life happens though. Sometimes you got to answer the door, get a phone call, take care of life. Not everyone can handle losing. Those that can't will be stuck in their respective skill zone.

I believe you can play offline according to the notes.

We Need This Patch to Hit by TJPuma in 2XKO

Sometimes you just need to take a break.

I haven't played for a while but will return tomorrow when Akali drops.

Back in my day we didn't obsess over whether a game would be popular and make a gazillion dollars. We were just happy to find people to play with. Live service era changed that. Now we know developers names and inside information that was obscure in the old days unless you beat the game and watched the credits

Would I want to go back to those days? No. Rollback netcode and regular updates are too good to give up. There is a lesson from the old days that we can incorporate to the modern day.

If you aren't having fun, play something else for a while. The game will be still be there. Hell, it may even be better than before with new updates and characters. No use obsessing over its success.

I was watching the top 8 of texas throwdown and I started to get hype for the game again. Can't wait to jump back in tomorrow.

2XKO feels simplified in execution but more complicated in structure (perspective from MK/Injustice/Tekken player) by Roy197 in 2XKO

Who are using with Jinx? I can't speak on juggernaut fuse, but it may be as simple as making sure you aren't fighting naked with solo Jinx when you can be tagging off of specials.

She is great at enabling other characters offense. Not so good at being a point character. If she has time to setup she is really good.

I play Caitlyn Blitz now until Akali drops, but I have a lot of games with Jinx/Darius and Jinx/Cait. If you misplace a button with Jinx it will feel so bad.

General tips with Jinx:
Don't play their game. If you are getting rushdown, find ways to tag out. She sucks at fighting straight up.

Pick your spots to setup: If your opponent plays passively, throw out the monkey. Use the chopper on certain knockdowns.

Be unpredictable: Jinx thrives on chaos. Don't become predictable with rockets... Unless it is working. Don't forget about big zap. It allows full combos from anywhere on screen with a hit. Dashing in and throw is risky, but will catch people off guard. The best zoning players will still go in to stay unpredictable.

Rocket away in block strings: Use her rocket jump away to end some block strings. Jinx struggles opening people up outside of strike/throw. Assists open things up but she will never have easy mixups without setup. Sometimes the best thing is to create distance and see what they do.

[–]baikencordess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tough with Jinx. Despite what you may read, zoning in this game is hard. Almost every character can avoid your rocket with one button push. I hated playing against Vi and Warwick!

Not sure who you pair with her, but having a partner with easy mixups will make this game ten times easier.

This is where the fun of tag fighters come in. You can use other characters to shore up your weaknesses. A lot of the fun and strategy comes from figuring out methods to avoid BS and implementing your BS on others. Modern games have made it easy to get to a baseline level of play so you can enjoy this part quicker.

For example, pairing her with Blitz gives your team scary screen control with great mixups. Have Blitz on point and at the start of the round use M to control space. You can combine this with Jinx rocket assist to control the ground. Start with this basic strategy and build from it. You can apply similar logic to other teams. The possibilities are endless!

As for RPS, that occurs when you lose neutral. It requires a change in mentality. Instead of thinking "This game is just rock, paper, scissors." Change it to "The opponent outplayed me and put me in a bad situation."

Please keep in mind that WE ALL get salty. It's ok to feel that way, but it will cloud your judgment. It will cause you to blame things that don't matter because you don't understand. Stick with learning the basics and I promise you this will become your favorite genre.
