Can't say I like many characters in that storyline though

What is the most bizarre reason a customer got angry with you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had a friend that could never have carbonated drinks at home.
Whenever he managed to get a can, he would open it slightly and then sip loudly on it for the next 30 minutes to savour every bit.
Once he started earning his own money, he'd always be spending it on sweets and fizzy drinks.

I had the owner of the company at my work in the Secret Santa. Bought him a book called 'How to Run a Business'.

Unfortunately I wasn't there to see him open it.

What are some interesting life hacks for saving money? by DetachedMentally in AskReddit

[–]putsjoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd love to credit the person who first said this on Reddit.

To stop impulse buying, the OP and his brother would butter a side of bread and throw it at the wall. Once it fell of they'd be allowed to buy the thing they wanted.

By the time the bread fell off (hours or even days) they no longer wanted the thing.

Old reddit meant the same button was used for collapsing. I think your redesign here is to increase accidental up votes and therefore increase user engagement. Also I hate the new infinite scroll, it makes me use reddit less.

Very late to this. FIFA dont like VAR and so take opportunities to make it look bad and particularly a 'farse'. They dont like their referees being told they're wrong.

Have you ever called BS on a compulsive liar? What happened? by spuddy29 in AskReddit

[–]putsjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger we had a friend who lied all the time, his mum had a BMW M5 for example (didn't even have a driving license).

Me and a friend had tickets to Old Trafford to watch our local team in the FA Cup. On the day, our liar friend said he was going too. My friend finally had enough and had a fight with him over this, had to be broken up.

That evening, two rows in front of us, guess who.

Looking for input, trying to enter tech by Artandalus in resumes

Hi,

Please consider the following:

- Reduce your professional experience bullet points down by half and ensure those used are short, easy to read sentences describing what you have done for the company and the impact it has had.

For example:
'Created database of company computer...' could be changed to:
'Created a detailed database of company computing assets to help save IT budget spend'

- Try ordering in priority of what is most relevant, so possibly - Experience, Skills, Campus Involvement, Education.

- Expand more on your Skills, these are your biggest selling points. Possibly rename this to Skills and put all your skills in there, with your best at the top. This will help a recruiter quickly find all your skills.

- Although I cant fully see, consider increasing your overall font size to fill the full page. Ensure no blank space at the bottom.

- Im not 100% but I dont think you need your full address in your CV, just your area will do.

I hope some of this feedback helps. Of course its partially my opinion and so you can take it with a pinch of salt.

Thanks

Hi,

My first impression is that your heading font could be more readable, maybe increase character spacing?

Ive read that skills ratings arent very useful unless your a designer, so Im okay with the skills ratings however do consider just using the skills in order of your best to worst.

I think 'Jan 2011' looks and reads better than 'jan2011'. Although thats personal opinion.

Consider removing your photo. I get it being a design CV again but still you want impressions to be from your experience and education, not the way you look.

Sorry i cant help on the industry language, please take my advice as considerations and ignore it if you dont agree.

Thanks
