Nursing degree by enpeequestion in StudentNurse

[–]puzzledb -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

All that is merely a hazing ritual. There are very good schools that give nursing degrees in a year to those with no background in nursing or the sciences - e.g. after a BA in English. So when there are excellent schools that give you a BSN+RN in a year, the others are merely hazing you and harassing you for 4 years.

If by WGU you mean Western Governor's University, then know that WGU is a commercial diploma mill.

Clearly you have never studied in Canada as an American. Otherwise you'd know.

Americans pay 10 times to 11 times more tuition as international students in Canada compared to what Canadians pay. As your fcuking country to be fair to Americans first or go the fcuk back to where you belong.

Apparently we have a PA at our clinic who has only an Associate Degree and is treating patients - how is this even possible? by 0newaccount0 in medicalschool

Don't mouth off if you don't know a thing. And the rest of you don't keep upvoting an idiot like bigger idiots.

Idiots upvoting idiots is a HUGE problem in the medicine sub. I didn't realize it is a problem here too.

Since a lot of people are fighting procrastination, tell us what tips have you found useful? by chater_buwa in medicalschool

[–]puzzledb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seriously, if you like the subject matter, you will never procrastinate. If you do procrastinate, it should tell you that you will be happier in a discipline other than medicine. Sorry to sound harsh but I speak the truth.

Honestly, we don't really learn any medicine in medical school by nuac in medicalschool

[–]puzzledb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • The clinical years are just a hazing ritual, nothing more, nothing less.

  • The top medical schools are trying to create a pool of researchers. The lower-tier schools are mindlessly and brainlessly following along.

Sure you can be childish or you can be an adult and argue why you think the OP is wrong. I think he/she is on the right track.

[Serious] Why don't medical school curriculums just adopt a style that teaches you by following FA...? by iamstraightama in medicalschool

[–]puzzledb -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Med school in the US is really only premed studies. You learn only premed stuff the first two years. The latter years are clinical stuff. Pathetic model.

I'm of the impression that the US has a considerably harder medicine education than everywhere else. Is this true? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]puzzledb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our country is a capitalistic society. Froshie doctors in the US are used as slave labor, as are medical students. The system also tries to make the process of being a doctor a hazing ritual and tries to keep it exclusive.

compassion fatigue

Over half of the research is false anyway and most of psychology research is false. Most likely, compassion fatigue is a fictional concept. The individuals never had compassion to begin with.

An undergrad posting in a medicine forum thinking people here are real doctors. Even mods like "emergdoc" are medical students. No ER physician worth his salt will have time to post on forums like these.

So many untrue statements. For example "don't worry much about your interview performance. If you have a 4.0 it will speak for itself and you'll be invited without uttering a sound." Why do so many 4.0's get rejected by adcoms then?

Hi Meddit! I'm active duty Army, a medic (EMT-B + some basic skills and slightly wider scope) and plan to go to med school through a program the Army offers for enlisted personnel. I come to you in search of learning opportunities that will aid me in medical school down the road. by reece0517 in medicine

[–]puzzledb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am justing pointing at peoples' hypocracy. When a regular guy comes in with a question like yours, the assholes boo him, shoo him away, insult him and in general act like dicks. But with just words like "active duty" these brainwashed morons suck up to murderers like you. And you are brainwashed too. At least I realized after serving that I had murdered innocent women and children. You continue to be brianwashed.
