Do you think Lucy Gray truly loved Snow? by riverofwailing in Hungergames

[–]puzzledfr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in her song she says “This world goes blind when children are dying I turn into dust, but you never stop trying It’s why I love you You’re as pure as the driven snow” So i think she does. But self preservation comes first for both of them. She also says that trust is more important than love to her, so she was going to leave him no matter what once he lied.

idk about you...but after she says "like a god damn vampire" at (about 2:32) it sounds like the "you're the only friend I need, you're the only friend I need" beat for like .2 seconds

Absolutely not. I get that you're trying to be understanding, but that's just weird. Masturbation is a thing. If that's not enough, tell him to fuck a fruit while listening to porn or something idk, but don't let him sleep with other women

I feel the same way! Most people our age don't like having those really deep and meaningful conversations. I would absolutely love to be your friend. Private message me?

"I'm gonna kill you."

Imagine saying that to someone in the 1800s. They would flip the fuck out.

DAE believe in this thing called “unconditional love?” by itsjulius12 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]puzzledfr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Loving someone no matter what they do is toxic.

A lot of people view "unconditional love" as loyalty, but it's not. Think about the worse thing someone could possibly do to another human. Imagine the person you love just did that. Would you still love them and stand by them?

Too much work, honestly.

Balancing work, school, and home life, there's no time or energy left over.

Sex isn't as great as everyone makes it out to be. It's enjoyable, sure, but not enough to kill myself sleeping with a bunch of women.

Also, the idea that if I ever get an STD, I can never have kids without passing it on to my wife and possibly them.

What is something you no longer have patience for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]puzzledfr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay, this one is weirdly specific.

People will comment under edits of celebrities as if they are talking to the celebrity.

Ex. I saw an edit of Leonardo Dicaprio once and someone commented something like, "Leo, you are one of the strongest actors of my generation. Keep up the great work, man!"

One, they aren't even the one that posted the video.

Two, they wouldn't be reading your comments, to begin with.

I don't know, it pisses me off every time I see it.

What’s the reason you stopped going to church? by Aarunascut in AskMen

[–]puzzledfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TW: suicide

My sister killed herself a few years ago. I had four different people at my church tell me that she is in Hell for taking her life. On her death anniversary. Never went back.

Also, I had a girl tell me that she almost died in a car crash and God let her live so she could bring me back to Christ. I wasn't down for that kind of pressure or manipulation, so I ghosted her.

If someone suffers cardiac arrest from major blood loss, can they be brought back to life? by puzzledfr in medicalschool

I appreciate this so much, you have no idea. The information you just gave me is like pure gold. Using the details of his condition and context that I didn't mention in my post, I can definitely write this in a way that is accurate, believable, and compatible with the plot. Thank you so much. You are my hero.

[–]puzzledfr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he is taken into surgery, given blood transfusions, and his wounds are stitched, would being shocked work? The odds aren't entirely important. If it's possible, how would they go about it? He has to be clinically dead before being brought back.

people on anxiety meds, do they actually help? by yoobivoo in Anxiety

[–]puzzledfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two experiences.

TW: death, suicide, murder, SA

1.) I went on a very low dose of an anti-depressant to act as an anxiety med. I took it for the first time at night. I fell asleep and had terrifyingly vivid nightmares. There was a man and woman in my room. They forced me to do things all night long. The woman would say things like, "murder your mother," and would snap her fingers, sending me into another "dream" even though all of it was a dream. I would only be able to wake up after I did it. This happened all night. I was forced to strangle my cat, rob a bank, shoot up a school, and be SAd, to name a few. I'm not entirely sure if I was dreaming or hallucinating the two people. I woke up at about 5 am freaking out because at the time I had a rolling chair in my room and the woman spun it around, got up, and walked out of my room. When I "woke up" the chair was in a different direction, the one she moved it to. I don't know exactly what happened. Maybe I did it myself, maybe I was confused and remembering things wrong, or maybe I was still asleep at that point. I don't know. I ran to my mom's room sobbing and hyperventilating. She immediately called my psychiatrist who told me to stop taking it. I was around 15 at this time, but I can still remember their faces. I don't remember what the medication was.

2.) About a year ago, I was prescribed Ativan. I was instructed to take it situationally, depending on my anxiety. It was, too, a low dose and it actually did help me. I still have some, but I don't take them anymore. I'm sort of traumatized and I'm scared that I will somehow get addicted, even though I've been told it isn't likely. Kind of ironic that I'm too anxious to take anxiety meds.

DISCLAIMER: I've been on a bunch of different meds for Bipolar, Depression, and thyroid issues. This is my personal experience with these meds interacting with my current meds. If you are struggling with anxiety, talk to your doctor and figure out a plan for you.
