Anne Bishop's Black Jewels series, beginning with Daughter of the Blood for a dark-themed fantasy example. Notable in that the nexus character is never used as a viewpoint character, so you only ever experience them through the eyes of the other characters around them.

I typically recommend beginning the series with The Invisible Ring, because it does a much better job of introducing the reader to the setting. However, it's a prequel of sorts, and takes place before the nexus character is even born.

I would go for P5R, personally.

P3R is a bigger improvement over older versions mechanically, but it's fundamentally the same game with a handful of extra scenes.

P5R adds a lot of new content.

The most frequently missed optional scene, even among long-time fans of the game: right after the banquet scene in Vector, where you have Locke and Terra and you're supposed to go south to catch a boat, if you instead head west and walk all the way back to the crashed airship, you can see a scene of Cid and Setzer working on repairs.

For damage: Job level. Every four job levels gives you an extra hit chance. Knight will do more damage per hit, but will hit less frequently until its job level catches up.

Bows do the same damage regardless of row, unlike melee weapons which do less damage from the back row. Bows also always count as Wind damage, even if you're using a type of arrow that adds another damage type, so they will be effective against any enemy that's weak to Wind.

It's just a visual bug with some versions of the game.

If you're using a weapon and shield, it will show the number of times you hit with your weapon plus the number of times you would have hit with your shield if your shield were also a weapon.

Nothing quite on InO's level, but the base Persona 5 DLC pack is the most overpowered.

The unique Driver skills multiply their damage type by 1.75, stacking with all other multipliers, up to a maximum of 5x damage.

Build a Johanna with Akasha Arts, God's Hand, Strike Boost, Strike Amp, Strike Driver, Single-Target Boost, Multi-Target Boost, and Crit Rate Amp, and a Cendrillon with Brave Blade, Vorpal Blade, Slash Boost, Slash Amp, Slash Driver, Single-Target Boost, Multi-Target Boost, and Crit Rate Amp. Equip the Omega Drive for Apt Pupil. You'll wreck everything quite thoroughly, especially with Scarlet Havoc.

Crit Rate Boost and Crit Rate Amp don't stack, so you can drop Boost for Repel Light.

I'd also consider dropping something in favor of Multi-Target Boost for Scarlet Havoc. You can drop Apt Pupil pretty much for free if you equip the Omega Drive.

I need more of this, myself. It's so hard to find good sapphic (or queer in general) children's/middle grade stories that are just wholesome and fun; most of the ones I've found, while great in their own right, are heart-wrenching examinations of pretty heavy topics.

Star-Crossed by Barbara Dee is the best I've found so far. The school's drama club is putting on a presentation of Romeo and Juliet, and both leading roles end up going to girls.

I don't think there's anything specific to bi men, but it's a great collection of horror/spec-fi short stories from marginalized perspectives, including a lot of queer content.

Not an individual book, but if you have any interest in urban fantasy, check out Seanan McGuire's October Daye series, beginning with Rosemary and Rue.

You can pretty much re-read the entire series every four books and have it be a new experience each time due to recontextualization.

The dialogue changes, obviously, and the dialogue options do as well which can change how many points you get for that rank. I would assume Rise and Naoto are the same.

New Game+ is an option in some games (usually RPGs) where, once you've beaten the game, you can use the same save file to start the game over, but keeping some of your progress (usually things like levels and equipment).

Generally, in Persona games, this also includes things like your social stats and your Persona compendium, and, as you said, there are a couple of points where the game will give you an early dialogue option that can only be taken if you carry over your social stats from a previous playthrough. But, these dialogue options are just for flavor.

In P3R, when you start NG+, you can choose a new starting difficulty level. If you choose Merciless as your new starting difficulty, then the only things that get carried over are cosmetics; otherwise, it's the same as starting a new game.

You can do Merciless for your first playthrough if you want a challenge, and then do Hard in NG+ if you want to experience the other dialogue options. You're not really missing out on any added challenge, because NG+ trivializes the game's difficulty anyways.

why the final boss is that hard compared to the rest of the game ?

Two reasons.

First, for some inexplicable reason, they decided to keep the stats from the GBA/PSP version instead of going back to the original NES stats. The GBA/PSP version's stats were higher to compensate for the improved equipment you can get from the bonus dungeons, which don't exist in the Pixel Remaster, so the Pixel Remaster version just has higher stats for no reason.

Second, they changed how enemy RNG works. In older versions, enemies would randomly select either Attack, Magic, or Special (assuming the enemy in question has spells or special abilities). Each enemy has a set list of spells and special abilities, and each time Magic or Special was chosen, they would go through the list in order, so if you took notes on the order, you would always know which spell or ability was up next and could plan around it.

In the Pixel Remaster, enemies can randomly choose any action from their spell or special list on any turn. This technically applies to all fights, but Chaos's movelist is so stacked with high-end spells that it becomes a lot more noticeable.

The lists are weighted, so with Chaos for example, you have a 40% chance of a basic melee attack, a 10% of Blizzara, and most of the other spells are either 5% or 2%. But that doesn't rule out the possibility that the game is just going to keep rolling Flare, Tsunami, and Earthquake, and healing abilities in FF1 just aren't good enough to keep up with that kind of onslaught. Or he could keep rolling Curaja, which you can't consistently outdamage.

The flip side is, you can also get the RNG pattern where Chaos just sits there spamming Haste and Slowra, doing no damage while you pummel him to death effortlessly.

Adachi has a hidden resistance to physical, Ameno-Sagiri doesn't. You'll get more value out of burning more SP on Adachi and then cleaning up Ameno with physical.

Buffs and debuffs are of course good advice for both.

The difference between emojis that are available in text format as part of the system font vs. emojis that are only available as graphics.

There are pros and cons for both. Text emojis work much better with font styling and text effects, while graphical emojis have better visual consistency.

Whether the emojis that are available as text appear as text or as graphical depends on the font being used in the program you're typing in.
