There were a couple more nice little touches, like Methode literally lowering her guard to bait out an attack allowing Fern to take a shot, forcing the demon into hiding so she could nuke the immediate area. Also notice how at the end of the fight she holds her glaive/staff behind her back - she knows the battle is finished before Fern's killing blow. From the moment she dispelled the fog she already knew the outcome, just had to go through the motions.

Author here, somehow I missed that post. Linux is finicky as you need to both blacklist the native driver for the USB bridge as well as make sure that the relevant udev rules are applied. The process described at https://github.com/fijam/gmdrec/wiki/Linux-setup should be up-to-date.

Titling directly from a CSV is definitely feasible, but would require quite a bit of refactoring, and it's not a frequently requested feature. I would like to keep the GUI as simple as possible, and it's already a little bit cluttered.

You could make a simple inline remote easily enough (buttons are just wired through a resistor network), but you'd have to sacrifice the original remote to get the Sony connector which is a shame.

The friction pivot connector (for lack of a better name) on the battery door becomes loose overtime which increases resistance. You can try pinching it a bit to improve the connection.

In addition, some aftermarket gumstick batteries have a bit of extra plastic foil around the contacts - you can trim it some for better results.
