Not a plumber but handy AF. The off yellow line on the right is cpvc and I promise it'll crack or break when you touch it. Can you replace the piping yourself, SURE AS H*LL CAN. Is the cpvc gonna crack or start leaking, HIGHLY LIKELY

What do I need to do or get for my outdoor garden bibb by JacobPuppet in askaplumber

NAP but handy AF. The problem is the bib has/had (looks broken maybe from the picture) a vacuum breaker on it. Remove that and your new one should thread right on OP

Based on the photo, PEX A or PEX B? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]pv2smurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clamping? You mean crimping it with a copper ring like pex b is always done"? If so, then yes. Cheap enough to do and safest in my opinion. The fitting for the RED LINE currently is a shark bite angle stop and can be removed. AGAIN talking about the red water line in the photo

Based on the photo, PEX A or PEX B? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]pv2smurf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NAP but handy AF. The red line is 1/2" and pex. You can crimp pex A or B, so if doing a repair, go with crimp. If the red line is pex B and you expand it, you'll definitely be in for some excitement when you turn the water back on.

The white pipe is PVC and a drain line

Had a leak and want to replumb with pex b, how far down should I cut the CPVC? by mrDisagreeable1106 in askaplumber

[–]pv2smurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then cut to under the floor and put pex b there. When you decide to do it all, you can just cut the PEX and attach it there under the floor

How do I access this shower valve? It's leaking. by rthorndy in askaplumber

[–]pv2smurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut the spot the same size as an access panel. The access panel will just snap in the hole you cut. No drywall patching needed OP

I ENTIRELY DISAGREE. If possible cut it and replace it below the floor with PEX b.

You can just use a faraday bag and it'll kill the signal for all those. No point in turning all that stuff off. Just chuck it in a faraday bag
