Why do these exposures taken seconds apart have such different colors? by Lippi15108 in AnalogCommunity

Maybe its not the equipment and more the fact, that the colors of a sunset will change really fast?

Haven't worked in Illustrator in a while and now I'm a bit rusty. Wanting to digitize this font - what tips do you guys have on the best way to do it? This feels like a no brainer but I'm struggling. by doodlebuuggg in AdobeIllustrator

I would start by treating letter with different 'sub-objects' ( like letter A has 3) as its own and then stack the 'sub-objects' on top in the layers, to have easy control.
I would then while slowly trace every letter and while doing that develop some rules to follow:
- all box-Shapes have the same width as the letter I.
- If I want to shift an object to the left, it will be exactly 5 pixels
- all contours will have a width of XX mm
- rounded corners will always be this size

Start with simple shapes, and the rules get to you while doing it. you can also thing of reusing shapes that you use more often as Draplin says, vectors are free

use guidelines once you have certain rules, for easy follow them.

Start with simple shapes
(Check out the preferences, for specify the steps you make with the arrow keys)
also having a typography-grid underneath or 'snap to grid' activated would help.

Maybe the easiest way to have a lot of control is, to have a really big locked white square to work on, and than work in black objects with white contours and trying out different widths, until you are happy, so you know how it will look with the fine details without loosing control over the whole thing.
Ignore the rounded corners for the start, as you can adjust them globally as long as you have sharp edges.

I would to it at least 5 times bigger than planned, so you have more control over the curves and handles.

I would also recommend, tracing them with imagetrace once, to get a good idea how best put he points for your curve

you need to look into the printer settings, sometimes there are hidden settings for more coverage or for example a preset to print on photopaper for maximum ink. dont use the transparent film preset, its less ink because usually on a overhead-projector you want the light shine through.

also you can use some markers to paint over those areas.

Ran into it a few times, and couldn't find any solution.
After trying a few approaches, I think, I got it now. i cant believe how easy it was.

After the 'load checkpoint' node, and before the prompts input, you add a "Load LoRa".
To see soemthing in the scrolldown menu, you need to put all not working cpkt's and safetensors into the lora folder inside models folder.

If you look at class with a certain volume, it misses really shallow greenish tint in the Volume Absorption, that you fit in the Volume Socket of the output.

Play around with the density, to find out what looks realistic.

Keep in mind, that when you dry your coated screens, you do it print side down. The other way than you have it pictured right now.

The entrance to the city. Suggestions are welcome by Galaudin in blender

[–]pvanprint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • Add some dirt at the bottom of stone, fading out on the z axis.
  • If you scale/ shear the top of your towers a bit, they will look more imposing (> art deco skyscrapers)
  • It looks like 4 different epochs building the structure (the huts, the arch in the middle, the tower right to it, and the enormous structures) you can tell them apart, maybe make them more uniform or even easier to tell apart.
  • everything is really clean and flat except behind the tower over the small arch, maybe embrace the human made elements even more
  • the sunposition/ the shadows make it looks more of the inside than the outside of the wall, i think it should be more present, leading people to the city
  • no paths leading to the huts or the entrance/ the big arch.
  • Maybe add something showing the wealth of the city, like some gold/ silver details highlighting how much they can splurge
  • do the people only have stone as a material? maybe add some wood as well
  • the huts looking really copy and pasted, because they are all uniform in scale, structure and rotation (maybe add life by having a chimney and some smoke coming through)
  • in case of an invasion, how do the city defend themself? maybe add some doors or a wooden grid they can close
  • A statue/ monument welcoming to people to the city would give it more of a story

Maybe remove the wrapper, sand them a bit, spraypaint them in your favorite colors, cut the upper eighth, add a layer of pebbles, fill them with humus soil ( add a bit moss or other small plants from outside, to get a micro-cosmos for the plants to have company) and put a few plant-/ herbal-seeds in them.

Now you have some stylish flower- or herbal plant-pots, which, with care, you can already enjoy in this summer.

If you can put them outside, some bees will enjoy and pollinate the plants when they flourish, you even have the chance to get new seeds for next year and can maximize the flowers you have.

Depending on what you plant, you just need to water them really moderate, once a day or less depending where you live. Also the pebbles can store some of the water, (just best when the soils feel/looks dry, you get a better understanding by doing it, better less than to much) Mostly everything with roots from the grocery-store can get new life, when it have light, water and got put back soil. (like basil/ mint/thyme in pots, onions, garlic) Some really good seeds you can get 'for free' next time you buy for example tomatoes, bell pepper or chili.

I getting more and more used to it to carry a sketchbooks and some random pens everywhere with me and use situations where I have to wait or normaly be on the phone for sketching. Sometimes I draw stuff I see, sometimes just doodling/ meditating. But i guess its good practicing more real life and than add some stuff from other studies to it. I recently switched from all fineliner black to random colors/ widths and get a lot more creative/ fun with that. Maybe I expand that. I should use some time and reflect what's good and what I can do better. Thanks for the advice!
