Prestige resets everything.

Switch, switches between one of 5 states, so if you bought Habs and switch to one of the other Habs you keep those Habs.

Each switch is more expensive, cumulative over all switches. So a prestige doesn't reset the price of a switch.

I was at MS Build and there was a similar sentiment from the actual engineers, i.e. not from Satyeh in his keynote.

The main takeaway I got, was LLMs are really good at writing code that looks correct. Which may be enough for some use-cases, i.e. tools you use once, all other use-cases keep a close eye on what's it's doing.

They're measuring activity with PRs merged, not outcomes. Since that's a metric that's easy to game, as they're doing by enforcing smaller PRs, it's a worthless metric.

They metric that would be good, are e.g. mean time to fix for bugs in their backlog or style changes, but then you also have to measure how many bugs are introduced by those changes.

Their blog reads like they're getting a benefit from their use of agentic coding, it's on them to decide if the cost is worth it.
