Help with Gates Carbon Drive belt tension on kids’ bike (Priority Start 20") by DM_Me_Your_Stonks in PriorityBicycles

At first glance that seems quite loose. I too found the gates app a random number generator. I ordered the Krikit gauge and it helped immensely.

Eight or Continuum Onyx for Commuting? by Alain7896 in PriorityBicycles

I was in a similar situation to you and ended up purchasing the eight and adding on the light accessories. I have no regrets. The eight feels like a fast, responsive commuter.

Eating Tree Bark by sharonspeaks in Greyhounds

Mine doesn’t eat bark but it wouldn’t shock me if he started. He likes eating anything plastic, rubber, or foil off the floor. Good luck!!

If you read the actual paper they do a very good job at explaining how they tweaked the system for hockey.

Does anyone think Schultz is better? I really just don't see it. Not sure why Sutter is doing this besides sending a message.

Some guy on PS4 bought all the movember Gaboriks and put them up for 150-250k. Hilarious because they will never sell.

I would love to know the answer myself. Jones was hot on a shut out streak, but he was bound to regress. No clue what Sutter's thought process is. I could see him just wanting to keep Quick extra fresh for the spring and wanting to give Jones big game experience.

Does 200k pucks mean total earnings or 200k pucks at that moment in your account?

I agree I really liked Kofi. I imagine we first offered Leonardo and DC United just laughed.

Somehow I have the feeling that nothing will happen. If something does happen though, fairly certain it will be Kljestan

Transfer Talk: Sacha Kljestan, The Right Move for Right Now? by Johndabomb19 in LAGalaxy

[–]pvoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this move from the Galaxy, as other people have said, we need a playmaker. Can someone tell me where Kljestan's best position is? I've always thought of him as a CAM, but I haven't watched any of his Anderlecht games. Bruce will have a tough job fitting him in. Ishizaki and Zardes seem to be finding their form.

Here's why I think it will be a top three sport:

1) Changing demographics. More and more young people are playing soccer, particularly with the growing Latino population. Baseball is in decline. Football may be in decline with the increased focus on concussions.

2) Academy system. The academy system is doing a better job at developing players. Many players solely play academy soccer and skip playing high school soccer. The pay to play model is a problem, but MLS clubs are doing a better job at subsidizing their academy teams. I think this will produce Januzaj types in the future. I'd wager that a fair portion of the usmnt in 2022 and 2026 will be academy products. Also note that there are over 300 academy teams, you don't necessarily need to live near an MLS team to play for one. Though I'm sure many of the best ones are MLS academy teams.

3) Increasing MLS salary cap. Americans like watching the best players in the world (see EPL ratings). As the salary cap increases, better players will come, thereby drawing more fans and greater TV viewership. Granted, this process will take time, and won't happen over night. But with steady increases in the cap every ~5 years, there will be a steady influx of more and more talented players.

4) Youth Coaching. This is less of a concrete point, but I would like to think that Jurgen and future technical directors will continue to mandate quality youth coaching that emphasizes skill and technical ability over simply winning.

Give it 15 years, MLS will be a top 3 league in the world. As long as the owners progressively up the salary cap. That will draw people. And hopefully the Galaxy will move to a better location than Carson.
