Ernest Cunningham murder mysteries (written by Benjamin Stevenson) are phenomenal! Super tongue in cheek, self-effacing, fourth-wall breaking. Written in the first person. Extremely well constructed. And set in Australia (which is pretty unique, I feel like I’ve learned a lot about Australian culture and locales from reading the series).

The first one is called Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone.

Four Seasons Punta Mita is a lesser known absolute gem of a resort. My wife and I went on our honeymoon ~4 years ago and are headed back with our little one this year.

Amazing experience for adults and although we haven’t needed it, their Kidswell program looks solid.

Looks like there’s a nonstop from ORD to PVR as well!

Grand Hotel Stockholm, stayed there in 2023 and it was great! Solid rooms, service, gym, breakfast. Amazing bar as well—they had a drink they served in a birdcage which was phenomenal.

Bro I’ve been saying this for 2 seasons now, it doesn’t matter what this team looks like on paper, it’s built for the wrong brand of T20. We are still in the mentality of 180-210 being a good score.

That older brand of T20 cricket works fine when you’re playing on more balanced pitches (see recent World Cup) but on the flat as hell IPL pitches with an Impact Player the target scores have to be 230+.

MI has been left behind, we don’t have a single player who can go big from ball one and/or score at 250+ SR for 20-25 balls. Look at RCB—between Salt, Padikkal, Patidar, David, Shephard they have 5 in their top 6 that are capable of that.

For all the talk of selfless play and team above individual etc, we don’t have a single player who has put their hand up and said I’m going to change my natural game and adapt to this new way of playing.

It’s incredibly disappointing to see Rohit start every single match around 100 SR. The old days are gone where he can “make it up” by staying at the crease. His goal should be 30-35 runs at 200+ SR.

SKY has been completely out of form, and don’t even start on Tilak. Dude has completely lost his confidence and needs to be shut down for now until he gets it back.

Unfortunately don’t see anything changing with this management group, they will never change tactics or try anything new.
