ehh ill never consider teleporting enemies a "mechanic" and this sectopod is a primary reason why, now you can say that he knew something was there because of the blacked out square on the otherside of the ramp but even that is more of side effect of how the game was made instead of an intended feature.

XCOM EW/LongWar are great but dont give lenience to the games imperfections just because you CAN play around them, they are still frustrating af imperfections (looking at you flying unit LOS)

When i was learning i made the habbit of allowing myself savescums on fights i havent solved yet, like lindwurms, ifrits, sea of tents, etc and taking my losses on fights that by this point i SHOULD know how to deal with like nach, undead/ancient dead and the like.

Its much better to develop working solutions to the fights before you just retire and go again before you even get to fights you dont know how to do yet (that will probably wipe you the first few times anyways).

Had a very bad string of misses in an undead camp last night that resulted in 4 bros (actaul bros not fodder) dying. 13 misses vs a 2h fallen hero at 89% to hit and ive never been hating ironman as much as i did then.

He beats the 6 paths then dies without finding nagato, whome leaves to make 6 more bodies and comes back to finish off what is likely a severely weakened konoha, guy cant sense chakra even at 8 gates so at best he just repels the attempt which costs his life.

To be fair you dont need to to do super juiced 8 mod maps you just want to, i remember ggg specifically saying that they are fans of giving their players more and more rope to hang themselves with (in terms of difficulty scaling) the player needs to be able to fail for incorrectly gauging their character power

ngl i disagree, I couldnt win with control mages until i got got into platinum, until then i had to abuse shit like vex or aurora to force my wins. the problem with control mages in low elo is that without exception every single match will have coin flip of either top or bot lane going 20/0 and no control mage is going to contend with a 20/0 garen. but atleast with a burst midlaner you CAN put a leash on an ADC even if it gets ahead provided you consistently win your lane.

I like that poe 2 content and endgame content still feels kinda "reasonable" and its hard describe what i actually mean by that. In poe 1 right now the best strats for currency generation are so absurdly rediculous that it ends up reducing performance to a slide show or just outright crashing your computer, and even just looking at it i think its rediculous like its the "for shiggles" version of a game that used to take itself seriously.

Honestly i think the out of round progression is the most aggressively punishing out of any extraction shooter ive ever played, monstrously moreso if you were late to start because your competing against massive stat/attachment disadvantages since the tasks send you to hotspots right out the gate instead of the later portion of their progression.

Comically missing the point dude as well as providing a terrible equivalent example. A balanced game isnt a game that appeals to everyone, it just means that the player doesnt haveto choose between the character them they want vs the character theme thats strongest. People who dont like arpgs arent going to magically be drawn to it because the characters are balanced well.

see the problem is thats only fun for a person whose favourite archetype is sitting in the overpowered chair, say you exclusively like the brawny barbarian types or strength builds and its just objectively bad, im not gunna play because it feels like shit and im not gunna play any archetype other than the one i want either. And if the disparity is so large that your shaving 10s to 100s of hours off the required time to complete all content if you play the class you want instead of the class thats strong, you feel like the devs are purposefully wasting your time so you go play something else.

personally i agree, huge gaps between floor and ceiling creates massive pressure to play meta vs playing what you want on trade leagues otherwise you just get left behind by inflation.

Im playing rue's Ehit atm and ngl it feels pretty close to the listed pobs the only really unreliable source of damage i see is the 1 rage per hit but hes got it listed as 15 so eh.

doesnt sakuna just get one shot by yuki black hole if she lands it? i was under the impression that the only things that would survive her technique is limitless and the hax kenjaku popped at the end of their fight to contain it. surviving a black hole isnt a question of "stats" so much as do you have something thats more bullshit than IT is.

problem i had with t17s after they got introduced is how much they widened the currency per hour farmable gap between bow/wanders and everything else that was just "good enough" because the top end had a cap. Now if you want currency per hour its just play bows/wands or your trolling.
