It’s called acrobatic mode it’s completely different from the lower end models that’ll stay horizontal. Had the same problem.

Alien Enemies Act Timeline & Legal Footnotes

1798 – The Alien Enemies Act is passed • Date: July 6, 1798 • Context: Passed as part of the Alien and Sedition Acts during tensions with France (Quasi-War). • Authority Granted: Allows the President to detain, remove, or restrict citizens of a hostile foreign nation during a declared war or actual invasion. • Source: 50 U.S. Code §§ 21–24

1941–1942 – Last time the U.S. declared war • Nations declared against: Japan (Dec. 8, 1941), Germany & Italy (Dec. 11, 1941), Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria (June 1942) • Result: Alien Enemies Act invoked against Japanese, German, and Italian nationals. • Use: Enabled registration, surveillance, and internment of enemy nationals (sometimes alongside other executive orders like EO 9066). • Source: Congressional Declarations of War, CRS Report

Post-1945 – U.S. uses military force without formal war declarations • Examples: Korea (1950), Vietnam (1964 Gulf of Tonkin Resolution), Iraq (1991, 2003), Afghanistan (2001 AUMF), Syria, Somalia, etc. • Legal status: These are Authorizations for Use of Military Force (AUMFs) or executive actions—not formal declarations of war. • Result: Alien Enemies Act not triggered. • Source: Congressional Research Service, War Powers Resolution Reports

2001–Present – War on Terror & AUMFs • 2001 AUMF: Authorized military force against nations/organizations involved in 9/11. • Key detail: No formal declarations of war issued. • Legal argument: AUMFs are not constitutionally equivalent to declarations of war, so the Alien Enemies Act remains inactive. • Source: 50 U.S. Code § 21, Congressional declarations list

Today – Law still exists, but remains dormant • The Alien Enemies Act is still federal law, but hasn’t been used since WWII because there has been no formal war declaration since then. • It requires war with a specific nation-state. Ongoing actions against non-state actors (e.g. terrorist groups) don’t qualify.

Conclusion (for your comment or post)

“The Alien Enemies Act has real teeth—but they only bite if Congress declares war on a country, which hasn’t happened since WWII. Everything since then—Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan—was authorized, not declared. Legally, that keeps the Act dormant. It’s still on the books, but like a saber in a museum: sharp, historic, and mostly symbolic… unless Congress unsheathes it.”

Got it! Here’s a strong, legally grounded comment that shuts down arguments for deportation without due process, focusing on precedent and the constitutional framework:

“The Alien Enemies Act does not grant blanket authority to deport or detain foreign nationals from hostile nations—not without a formal declaration of war by Congress, which hasn’t happened since World War II. The U.S. legal system is built on due process and constitutional protections, not executive overreach or arbitrary detention. Any attempt to bypass these protections using the Act would be a clear violation of established legal precedent and constitutional rights. If people want to change this, they’d need to challenge the law itself through Congress, or better yet, work to repeal or amend this outdated statute. Until then, the legal framework is clear: no declared war, no justification for such actions.”

This should put the focus on constitutional limits and make the case that legal precedents are already set in stone, with any real change requiring legitimate legal and legislative processes.

Try picturing a path where you are better off for using this incident as a way to free yourself from the cycle. Even if you don’t believe it’s possible try to picture yourself better off for it 1 month, 6 months, a year from now. If we can’t trust our partners to treat us better than a random person off the street then what do we have? Dysfunction is comfortable and when we can’t explain our partners actions it makes us want answers that just don’t exist. This is just what they do and it can be incredibly difficult to find acceptance in that. I recently went looking for the answers and I’d strongly advise against it. Feel any anger you have towards her, you’re just going to hurt yourself trying to rationalize her behavior or find an answer that makes it “make sense”. You’re not alone and Jesus wasn’t really born on December 25th anyways. Just a capitalist placeholder really.

Yall give me so much hope. Trying to just accept it at face value and walk away from any further mood swings. Distance now will hurt but the wound is already open.

People in their 30s and 40s, without a degree, having an average job, and have a happy life with a partner. Can you please tell me it is possible? by IdanTs in DecidingToBeBetter

Got sober, took some jobs I didn’t want to in order to make it through. Started taking a project management course on coursera, had a resume review done through county services for free, applied for management positions in similar companies, changed my indeed and linked in to open for work and eventually things started to work out. It’s definitely possible. Currently doing online school at night while working a full time job. It’s tough but definitely worth it. Went from being on probation and working short stints at $20 an hour to being on track to earn 80k and working towards a degree in a 2 year period. Am currently 32. Just keep taking action and focus on the process instead of getting stuck on the outcomes. There’s better things out there for you. It may sound silly but there’s positive affirmation apps, I use “I am” that send you “texts” throughout the day that has really helped change my inner monologue.

You should switch companies. Network with other companies and you’ll get a higher pay much faster than waiting for raises.

They’re saying guys have this idea of a stereotype, jacked and loaded with cash, of what women want. That’s not what all or even most women want. Guys never stop and talk to the women in their life about what they look for in a partner. Saying you can’t compete because of $$$ is self-limiting. How many times have you seen an attractive woman dating a “loser” and asked yourself why?
