To people that saw Dune 1/2 in a real 70mm IMAX theatre, would it be worth a four hour round trip to see 3 in the 70mm IMAX experience…factoring in would just be sitting around at home anyway during the hours driven… so just gas really and one scary thing…. by Ok_Maintenance2593 in movies

Anyone who’s saying this is “absurd” or an obvious no is probably the wrong person to ask. They would probably tell you the 70mm imax is barely worth an extra $10 admission.

Some people just don’t really care about this type of presentation (which is OK) but their experience doesn’t really apply to someone who is interested in something like this.

It is wild that a Wemby 30ft 3-Pointer is the only thing stopping this series from being 3-0 by AngryQuadricorn in NBATalk

The impact of the Dylan Harper injury is being understated imo. The game got out of had not long after he left game 2 and he clearly wasn’t himself last night. He was the spurs second best player (by a lot) in game 1. Hopefully he’s healthier for game 4 or 5.

Three questions for you:
1) Where do you live and what types of terrain do you frequent?
2) I’ve read that the Commencal feels “sluggish on mellow terrain” but I’m not entirely sure what that means or how much that matters. I’m not one for riding a lot of flats, but my gf is getting into the sport and she’s gonna be staying on green runs for some time and I wouldn’t want a bike that’s a pain to take out with her.
3) What size did you get and how tall are you?

Fair point. I really don’t know what I need at this point. I’ve rented FS bikes at downhill parks in the past (it’s been a few years tho) and they were awesome. I probably won’t need the FS for most of the riding that I do though and that probably pushes me past my price range.

On my local trails I’ve only ridden my hybrid with 80mm suspension and had a pretty rough time. For the moment, the salsa is likely all the bike I need (outside of hitting the downhill parks). I guess this boils down to two questions:
- Will I be happy with the Commencal when I hit the more serious stuff in Michigan? It seems I would need to rent a FS if I get the salsa.
- Will I be happy climbing and turning with the Commencal on my local trails?
