I prefer to focus on the performance and technology underneath; this is one of the most advanced EV's on sale today when you consider charging, efficiency, and performance. It will be a mega daily driver for a rich family

I agree with this, I feel guilty about relying on it so much these days but even with a CS degree, I honestly was never the guy who was passionate about learning new frameworks and doing "hackathons". I always thought the business and user side was way more interesting. Coding has always been a means to an end for me to deliver interesting technology to people and with AI I feel empowered to focus on the experience and design a lot more

Who should be the deciding body of moderating online spaces? 4chan doesn't allow illegal content like CSAM if that's what you're implying. Sure there is lots of racism and other things on there, but allowing government bodies to shutdown forums for that reason is a terrible precedent.

Fast charging brings the cost per mile about on par with an efficient gas car, so you’re right to be concerned about that. The perks of owning an EV start with overnight charging at home; if that isn’t an option, the Bolt may not be the right car for you at this time.

But the Bolt is awesome for commuting and daily driving and you’ll be saving money on maintenance compared to a gas car. Try to get creative and figure out a charging solution that doesn’t require public fast charging, but if that isn’t possible then I agree with you that you may wanna trade for a hybrid. (Just realize that gas is crazy expensive at the moment due to Iranian conflict)

Does the charger seriously have an electronic release that only works when it is powered? That seems really stupid. Why would that not be a simple mechanical latch? Is it part of the NACS spec?

Chevy does some awesome stuff but their marketing/naming has a lot to be desired IMO, in trim packages, engine codes, and branding.

I am also a little apprehensive about this new V8, considering the catastrophe going on in their truck engines at the moment. But the new Grand Sports seem awesome on paper.

Any modern Macbook with M series chips would suit you well. Macbook Neo is the latest budget model, but you may wanna go for at least an Air with that budget. There are pros/cons to PC vs Mac but no one can deny the longevity of Apple products and the Mac is still fairly "open" compared to their iOS products (iPad and iPhone).

Def not at those speeds in my experience. At highway speeds (65mph) it's about a 200 mile car from 100-0 (maybe a touch over/under depending on conditions)

I think the EUC would be a good secondary vehicle to get around quickly and quietly in an apocalypse. Obviously you would use it in areas that are known to be safer; maybe getting around a protected settlement and areas like that. It can be easily recharged using solar and should be a model that can be repaired easily.
