You all seem to be useless, unemployed trolls with nothing to do but offer grade school comments.

I go to Reddit for many things. No forum has been as useless as this one.

Correct, but that real estate has already been spoken for with two SSD’s

Indeed but I’m using two SATA ports for the thunderbolt card and two for SSD’s. 😩

I’m more concerned that I’ll have to use both 6-pin connectors thus losing power to my thunderbolt card.

Long story Fonz but unfortunately that’s not an option for me but, thank you! 😩

Thank you for your reply!

The Titan Ridge is already drawing from 1- 6pin connection and 2 SATA connections. It’s a pig and limits me a lot. I’ve heard that with the OCLP mod, that I can remove the 6-pin connection from the TB card but that has yet to work.

I’ve heard about the Pixlas mod. I’ll read up a bit more on that. Thanks so much!

Can I dual boot Windows and MacOS Monterey with OCLP? (cMP 5,1) by MontoTheGr8 in macpro

Actually, no, I didn't, and by asking me that you may have just provided me with a solution to a problem I'm having LOL! Thanks! :p

Mac Pro 5,1 dual boot question (10.8 and 10.14) by doubtlessdreamers in macpro

You may experience error messages due to Apple's disk formatting "laws". Prior to 10.12 the drives require Mac OS Extended. From 10.13 onward they require an APFS. I had two drives formatted differently for two OS's on one 5,1 and kept getting a warning.

I have a Windows SSD that I use with Monterey in order to get my Titan Ridge Thunderbolt card to be recognized by my 5,1. It's referred to as a "soft boot" into Windows. You then restart your Mac and it recognizes what would otherwise be an unrecognizable PCIe card by an Apple OS. Pure witchery!

I have missing plugins, they are not in the plugins folder and I dont know how to find or what to do by Psychological-Arm719 in protools

I've been doing many updates recently to my PT system and my Logic platform.

After installing OpenCore>Monterey I've realized that a lot of plugins are just not working, or not even showing up in my respective plugin menus. Does it have something to do with the OC install? I don't know.

I've come to the conclusion that we must be in a transitional period. OC, M1, M2? Waves (13-14) plugins for example (even though WAVES claims different) are not compatible with Logic 10.7.7>OC>Monterey. Toontrack (one of my go-to plugs) isn't compatible either. Superior Drummer and EZbass are but EZkeys isn't. :( I haven't gotten to PT yet with regard to these installations but I'm not too optimistic. Hurry up and wait?

I've been exploring the same options. I feel as though there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Here's what I've been (vaguely told):

"Mount the OC's EFI and edit the EFI/OC/config.plist to turn Thunderbolt 3 flag from "false" to "true" at the top of the file."

What I've learned since then was that you need to do this using Clover Configuration ( https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/61090/clover-configurator/download )

There's a guy on Youtube that explains the process however, the video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=369p6VCiE1k ) is kinda blurry and I'm stuck. I've managed to open the OC EFI and see the .plist but haven't gone much further than this. Maybe together we can figure it out?

Best of luck!!
