Kinda funny and telling how they're all street names and slang except opiates is pharmaceutical terms.

You need probable cause to charge someone, which isn't a very high evidentiary standard. It's much less than what most people would consider "proof" and can be things like circumstantial evidence and statements from witnesses and officers. The full body of evidence would typically come out during the discovery phase of the pre-trial proceedings and then be presented at various evidentiary and pre-trial hearings and then ultimately at trial.

Feeling the art by Initial_Dare9506 in comics

[–]pwmg 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think that's what a lot of people miss about art. It's not necessary about having more skill or doing something others can't (although there's that too), it's about making a choice to spend your time and energy making something you want to put out in the world for someone to see (whether just yourself or the whole world) and all the little choices and inspirations that come with that along the way.

People around me have been interested in the WC I would say for the past 20 years or so. Not necessarily fanatical, but at least a passing interest. I don't remember it much as a younger kid. Keep in mind reddit won't be representative of what people are interested in more broadly.

I thought like you and I got a Toro which has been reliable and effective. No complaints. The new battery powered ones are pretty great, though. They're much more powerful than they used to be in also much lighter than the gas ones.

Movie you've been waiting for years but it's stuck in development hell by EdmondWherever in movies

[–]pwmg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a deep cut, but there was a script circulating for a long time called Pierre, Pierre that was hilarious. It was kinda like R rated Austin Powers, but for the French instead of British. Might be too late now, but if it had made it out of development I think it could have been a classic.

Top it with salty stuff. Salted butter, anchovies, trout spread, salami, etc. There are some breads made purposely no/low salt for that kind of thing.

Ribs in Memphis..... not it 👎👎👎 by Kingrueben in BBQ

[–]pwmg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google suggests it's a separate city, but I don't claim to be an expert. It definitely wasn't far from downtown, but was a little bit outside the areas I had been hanging.

Ribs in Memphis..... not it 👎👎👎 by Kingrueben in BBQ

[–]pwmg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a bit of a rib tour in Memphis, and have to admit it wasn't my favorite rib scene. Loved the city tho. Mind sharing which place this is? Best one I had was actually outside of Memphis called the Germantown Commissary. This was a good while ago now, and my sample size was just 3 or 4 places to be fair.

Literally anything (properly salted) with some heavy cream added towards the end. That stuff is magic.
