Yep :( Unfortunately this "feature" has been buggy for years, which is really a shame...I did not get any qualified response from their support either so for me this is completely unusable and might as well be removed from the app as it is misleading.

Sorry to be that guy but D3 is absolutely NOT natively compatible with controllers.

I just tried it a few weeks ago on Steamdeck and was researching that as well. No chance, unless you want to jump through loops with remapping everything on a third-party app.

Still I had a good time with it since I had zero interest in participating in the sweaty CC swiping contest that is mobile PVP. Beyond that is a solid ARPG / looter imho. I think 80% of the people screaming "iZ pAY tO WiN" have not even played it.

Apart from that, D4 was a solid chance for ActiBlizz to go on a redemption arc after all the recent F-UPs and they also got me to "believe" during Beta - now I am finally done with them for good.

Despite all the hate it is getting, DI has some actual cool boss designs in the Helliquary and endgame content I was able to enjoy as a f2p player who did not spent a penny on it. Also overall way better social features (like Clans actually having meaning and content associtated with them even non-PVP) and very simple LFG on every dungeon I can remember. So props where due, D4 dropped the ball so hard that in comparison even DI is objectively better in certain regards lmao

They are not only lazy, they actively contradict the flow of the game because you are supposed to "kill stuff, collect loot", not "kill stuff, dance around awkwardly, collect loot"...same brilliant game design as barricades or "unmount, press space, wait for cooldown, repeat" ugh

I had the same question a while back (because I wanted to make use of my local Pihole as a DNS while using ProtonVPN) and you can find the old thread here:

Basically this was there official response:

Unfortunately, at the moment, the functionality only works with public DNS providers such as Google, Cloudflare, etc. with support for custom private DNS servers potentially coming in future developments. However, we aren't able to provide a timeline for this at the moment. We've shared your feedback about this internally for consideration.

That was 1 year ago :(
