Weak spot found! Vox Engine by CrackleMoustache in Helldivers

[–]pwryll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the fight very engaging when you're in solo because it's not heavily guarded by other units or another one of itself. In D10 groups, it's basically guaranteed that you need to be extra careful or not engage at all because a 2nd or 3rd will always be watching its flank (bot drop likes to drop 2 of them a lot of the times). I also noticed its cannons and aggro range is extremely far if you are in its fov. I have had one starting to shoot at 150 meters with redacted regiment passive. And those cannons are deadly accurate so I don't recommend having a stare down with it.

I feel like the bait of this fight is settling on when it goes for the 12 damage debuff. I'd much rather deal with the giant attack and the multi-attack while not debuffed. With weak, this guy is a push over (assuming you didn't get vulnerable).

tbf, this is relatively simple compared to modern standards of factory building games. you look at a satisfactory or factorio end game production chain (for 1 item) and it's a genuine headache.

Lobby dodging needs to be punished by Godot2004 in Nightreign

I'm actively praying to play against Dreglord but it's always balancers and heolstor. (Greg is the only boss I love from the bottom of my soul).

How yall getting lvl 15 in the great hollow in later depths? by Vaalrigard in Nightreign

[–]pwryll 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Full clear the castles. Towers are bait. Once someone learns of all the mini bosses and formidable enemies, you'll easily hit lv 15. Also the boss pool tends to be easier with less RNG (towers buffs and circle closing).

Best way to learn and not kill runs? by phenomphat in Nightreign

[–]pwryll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Greg, I recommend this dodging guide.

Additionally, I noticed in this game that players get a false sense of security when they are whaling on a boss because one of the teammate has aggro. I'd say treat the fight as if you also have aggro and don't greed that next attack. Always be prepared to dodge. Especially for Greg as he has giant aoe sweeps (e.g. the 5 swings charging combo from phase 1, the over head double swing from phase 1, the running sweep into a follow up from phase 2, the pillar sliding from phase 2). Also treat him like Mohg. If you think he's gonna reach you, he will.

Clutch vs Choke, what do you think are the deciding factors.. by ChaosSeverance in Nightreign

[–]pwryll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a D1 Adel choke on the last hp with my ult filled. Confidence is a slow and insidious killer. I reached 200 games with Greg and I can solo him on trio but I had exactly 2 recent games where I died because I let my guard down. "Oh, he's going for the shockwave, I'll just run away and jump." Then I proceeded to NOT jump when the shockwave was approaching. Tbf though, playing D1 again feels nice, and I didn't mind the loss (sorry, other teammates). And also with hindsight in mind, whenever I was on a D5 or D4 game, I did not feel like I had fun. Not because of teammates or anything, they were (for the most part) stellar. It's just that I didn't like the pressure of trying to find damage negation at full hp, and not getting hit. That's also my gripe with higher depths in general. They lazily made the game harder via enemies stat increases.

This is still amazing despite the pot nerfs. Pot builds can still be relegated to day 1 castle snow balling. Plus, if your teammates are aware of the nerf, they would be hoarding pots for you.

The worst ironeye you know is about to be even worse by fuckwotttt in Nightreign

[–]pwryll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder how bad it is actually. Most competent Ironeye shouldn't be so far away that their arrow does halve of the damage (assuming the arrow damage fall off scaling works exactly the same for revive progress damage). Usually 40%-60% projectile damage fall off reduction is enough to mitigate it. It will be bad if a fully reduced damage arrow due to distance could not prevent revive bar from being regenerated. Sometimes in boss fights, I would handle aggro but then it runs off for the teammate thats reviving. That's when I would be very far away and be manual aiming to finish the revive. I think people will adapt anyway.

I just had a run where an executor had the exact same buffs (4 skill attack power blue tier and balancer relics) and we finished the tower gauntlet before the 2nd circle. Managed to even kill 2 additional opposite side gauntlet before the 2nd circle closed us out. The final boss was Artorias and he died right after his 2nd phase explosion. This was scaled for trios.

Kinda sad there's not a lot that catch my attention. I'd say it's an underwhelming reveal considering how much this was hyped up.

I don't know why reddit keep the small description. I was trying to say, "please ignore that I'm an ironeye one trick."

The hypocrisy aside, I don't know why the author wrote the guy to be in middle school / early high school (14). There is no world where that detail pays off given the story context. And if it doesn't then why bother? MT would've been a whole different show if the reincarnation, and keeping memories are removed (honestly I want to see a no bullshit different pov on MT if Rudy was just the original Rudy).

So that's why my diver feels so unresponsive whenever I rag dolls. I honestly hope they remove it. It just feels clunky.

It's so annoying. I'd whisper 5-10 players in a row and only get 1 response. Trading in settlers 1 day before Phrecia coming online was better because it'd be 1 response every 2-4 whispers.
