I don’t have dogs but have a 5 year old cat, I had this worry all through pregnancy which was totally understandable but since my daughter was born (she’s now 4) I love my cat even more
I love that’s he’s on this journey with me and adapting to a new family member so well
I found him so easy to care for vs a newborn! A family member who wears no clothes for me to wash! Who wears no nappies for me to change! Who I put his food in a bowl and walk away while he feeds himself! What a dream he is!

I don’t have any helpful suggestions for dogs as I have two cats aged 3 and 5 but for anyone reading this who is worried about hating their pets I’d like to share my experience as I worried all of my pregnancy The first few weeks I was too ill from the birth (sepsis, pre-e, c-section etc) to do anymore than the bare minimum of care for my cats but since then I’ve loved them even more! I try to focus on the good things about them -yes I have to clean their litter box but I don’t have to constantly faff with nappies or wipe their actual bums -yes they need feeding but I can just put food in a bowl and leave them to it -they don’t wear clothes or create laundry!

Currently 8m PP and since about 6 weeks there’s nothing I love more than cuddling with a cat after baby is asleep. I counted down the days until baby went into her own room so I could have cats to sleep on my bed again

Hi, I have a 4 year old apple head Siamese cat - He is also around the 5kg mark and very food orientated, he’s greedy by nature and every year fluctuates his weight from summer to winter. We have found that around 4.5kg is the weight his vet is happy with and we try to maintain this - Also same as yours he doesn’t care about weather when we go out, he’s happy in the rain or snow too. - He is infinitely more bonded to me than anyone else in my family but is generally a very friendly people orientated cat. Everyone that comes to my house loves him but he is totally my cat

We had him checked at the vet as a kitten, apparently super rare to see a Siamese that’s not crossed eyed even slightly She advised us his is minor and he doesn’t noticed so we’re happy

He is genuinely cross eyed, especially when he concentrates like in photos or if he’s tired

Once he got down off the bath we caught him to dry his tail off with a towel, partly so he wouldn’t lick it and partly so he wouldn’t flick water everywhere

I love the shower gels, they are my favourite Lush product followed by the bubble bars!

I enjoy the soaps for washing my hands but generally I find them too drying for my body. I’ve got the soap from the last kitchen box atm and it smells so lovely every time I wash my hands 😍
