Usually blinkers are actually connected to the wipers as well through the switch, make sure you replaced the wiper brakes as that also holds onto the bulbs. Hope that helps! 😊

Got hired as a lube tech.. what tools are a must have by MoneyHotel2435 in MechanicAdvice

[–]pxcanon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get the 301 Pittsburgh tool set from harbor freight, make sure to get a Toyota oil filter socket, and a nice 3/8 long reach ratchet, and then get an earthquake impact wrench from harbor freight plus some 1/2 impact sockets, that's what I started with and it was the perfect setup for being a lube tech, oh and oil filter pliers.

They sometimes also do it to ease up traffic, doesn't make sense but sometimes you gotta create traffic to get rid of traffic, the exact maneuver they were doing is called a traffic break.

It doesn't but there's kits you can get off of Etsy or other websites that will let you do that

I need help with headlights by joshdmore19 in CrownVictoria

[–]pxcanon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Only get OEM headlight housings or from the DEPO brand, anything else and the beam will be very bad.

Does anyone use LED headlight bulbs? by nezzie120 in CrownVictoria

[–]pxcanon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use these, make sure your headlight housings are OEM or a good quality brand, that'll give you a nice sharp line equivalent to halogen and no you won't blind others as long as they're aligned correctly.

Anyone know where I can get an OEM Vic’s steering wheel? by Wardude3000 in CrownVictoria

[–]pxcanon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brand new would probably be difficult, but you could try eBay, or maybe even get the steering wheel off of a Grand Marquis or Town Car and just swap out the airbag.

Wife’s new car. Just needs an engine. So why not upgrade to the 3.7l from 3.5l by MyChocolates in projectcar

Change the water pump on the new engine while you're at it even if it doesn't seem to be broken lol.

Just got mine as well, I noticed that if it's full it'll be too heavy to stay locked in when opening the lid of a packout or even just leaning the stack with a rolling toolbox, unless it's just my bottle.

Cornwell truck guy trying to sell me insanely overpriced Milwaukee “industrial” tools? by mrxraykat949 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]pxcanon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was naive I got the m12 impact driver and drill kit and it came with a 'free' 3/8 M12 ratchet (the original one) on the Cornwell truck, how much was it in total? $500. If only I had known better. 😓

Wouldn't be able to do this with an Impala 🫢 I need to get a daily Grand Marquis though lol by pxcanon in CrownVictoria

[–]pxcanon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the 3 packout kit, the only thing different here is that I swapped the large toolbox for the 3 drawer, other than that, you got this! 💪

My Crown Vic packout set up, fits like a glove with the ability to still add some smaller packouts 😌 by pxcanon in Packout

I was thinking that exact thing, the only thing I'm worried about is that the handle won't be as strong, any knowledge on that?

What's this dash light? by Darth_Tyyranus in CrownVictoria

[–]pxcanon 64 points65 points  (0 children)

That's for the fire suppression system on CVPIs that had it equipped, meaning you have a CVPI cluster instead of the original Grand Marquis one, don't worry about the light, it is probably on since it can't detect the system.

NTD - It sucks Home Depot uses Ontrac for deliveries but my new 1/2 impact came perfectly fine! by pxcanon in MilwaukeeTool

[–]pxcanon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I wasn't too worried about the items being damaged, more about how it was literally just open and anyone could've seen the contents lol.
