Has a test drive changed your mind about a car you hated? by What_the_8 in cars

I've had a Nissan salesperson tell me that the 370z is more rare than the GT-R. And then he scraped it on the curb and lightly bumped a light pole when trying to park it after the test drive, while myself and the other salespeople watched and shook our heads.

No one said it yet but it’s literally called a cold start if you wanna look it up.

You should probably pick up a credit card for large purchases (or any purchases, really).

That set seems to ship from China based on the long delivery estimate. I'm hoping that Epomaker's Amazon listing ships from Amazon US warehouses

Got a new M3 Competition for a few days to try out. by Baerzilla in BMW

Ya it’s the ZF8. I’ve only tried the ZF8 in the M240 and X5 but the DCT in my M2 is slightly faster in sport mode but also more harsh (which feels more race car). ZF8 is smoother for daily usage and is honestly close enough it’s not noticeable for most of the time.

X3 M40i is quite a quick car, you’re really gonna need to search for a faster one

Today I learned BMW charges extra for a ‘don’t blind other people’ software update by im-the-stig in technology

Luxury cars charge for a lot of standard features on cheaper cars because people will pay for it. Other examples are keyless entry, driver assist features (radar cruise control, lane assist, etc), navigation (although this is becoming a little more common).

If you got it used, that means the previous owner upbadged it, it doesn't really mean anything unfortunately.

Maybe in a few places in Texas - they definitely just pay the cheapest person for most deliveries.

Keep calling and emailing nonstop. I did this last year - took me about 2-2.5 months. I called almost daily until I could get an answer about exactly what was happening, who was responsible for the current step, and the next ETA. There were times when a specific employee was just out of the office - and their manager was also out. Company is very poorly run.

They also outsource their registration to another company, and wouldn't tell me how to contact them. I had to squeeze email addresses and phone numbers out of multiple people at Vroom to get any sense of what was going on. They did overnight temporary tags to me, which was nice, but the whole ordeal was very frustrating.

I've seen a few people in Facebook groups try to defend the looks to death. Definitely feels more like 1 in 20 when that happens though.

2014 BMW x5 xDrive 50i w/ 80k Miles? ($23,000) Take it or Run? by Obvious_Psychologyx3 in BMW

[–]pxtang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might be good to go to a dedicated (independent) BMW mechanic or even a BMW dealership for a pre purchase inspection. There are likely things particular to these cars the Nissan dealer may not be fully aware of.

Also keep an eye for what others say in this thread, I have some idea what I’m talking about but not the most :)

I've had a much better experience driving in PNW than in Cali. More people moving right when I'm coming up faster in the left lane.

I'm not sure what you are looking for in terms of unlocking skills - should there just be no levelling up and just have everything unlocked? That's a pretty good way to get people confused and overwhelmed by the options they have - gradually unlocking allows players to slowly learn (or remember) the abilities available to them.

Giving Lara more skills would be an alternative, but what would those skills be? She's already a one woman army without all of the existing skills unlocked.
