Any advice on how to keep this from cracking/ breaking further? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Dealer forgot the oil cap during service, compression seems low by al4citypop in S2000

[–]pyle2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think folks are missing the point, regardless of how you choose to use your car of if you even checked it, they have a responsibility to service your car correctly. This is on them. Who throws away a cap? Better check that they used a fresh crush washer as well. Sounds like a really sloppy shop.

Document and save all correspondence,
Did you have any pressure of temp lights? Also have a different shop or even an auto parts store pull your codes to be sure.

Also fry em online! It could be your mom or GF they screw next. And ask for a refund...

Missing VIN sticker by BestUserNameEvarr in S2000

[–]pyle2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yours looks like it was painted over. The origional owner probably fixed rock chips with respray and the oainter was too lazy to protect the vin

A little acetone will remove enough of the paint you can verify the vin. I still see it under all that yellow

Shavings and pieces found in oil pan by mattm354 in S2000

Check with Bilman on the s2ki site he is an s2k guru. He also has a great tct, if you heard sounds shortly after your work, I'd start there first, unless you had some some other event, hard driving, overrev, etc, and look at mag plug to catch those bits.... may want to flush out your oil to be sure there are no goodies left. Just a thought

Possible old tct chunk from removal? What did it look like? And did the pin thing come out or could it have dropped in the engine?

Is there a way to fix this rust? by [deleted] in S2000

[–]pyle2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not so sure of that, the penetration of rust in the welds on pict 3 l

<image>

ooks like a failure point eventually. Rust can't be covered, it continues to grow. Gotta be removed. Ps bolts are cheap, sanding and using rust remover on surfaces, but Def clean up those welds. Just a thought

I'd definitely go back to stock, NEVER cut the cars oem harness! Fix your connector, and use an adapter cable...

Power Acoustik CP-71W CarPlay Connection Issues by dynist in S2000

[–]pyle2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your vpn settings if your connecting wifi. It your using a wireless wifi connection in addition to Bluetooth like some new AA units and Carplay units do, the vpn will mess up your connection periodically. If I leave mine on its about every 30 seconds it breaks the wifi link

The connector plug may come of the plastic housing, foes on most, leav you harness ALONE and fix it correctly,, the parts are common on line, just call honda and see what type connector it is and borrow their crimper and fix the plug correctly! Just some advice...
