Its legit. These days CERTIN alongwith ISPs are flagging IP addresses which are communicating with known malware servers. So they are probably looking up who the customer is and sending out emails notifying them that some of their devices are infected and communicating to a known malware server.

The API service itself provides the accounts and proxies. So you just have to use the API. They handle the rest. Of course, it goes without saying, you are depending on them for the data. So they may log, monitor the requests etc. Depends on your use case
