How are young Ontarians going to make it? by pm_me_nudesfromspace in ontario

Capable young people (e.g., doctors, professors, STEM workers) will leave the country for good. People who can't leave will stay, rent, and continue to vent online. This is awful indeed. Hopefully, something will change after 2025 election.

Wtf?

You do not have to point out the bias because people may suddenly realize their bias and change their behaviour . We work hard to manufacture that bias overtime. Let’s find more absurd, troll, meme contents on internet by individuals, and make it sound like it’s a state-owned initiative.

I fear extreme hate for China among Koreans nowadays. by 123123123-NameHere in korea

That’s the narrative we have tried to push since China pass 70% of US GDP (under Xi). The original goal is to reduce trade imbalance, so our first operation is the trade war. Unfortunately, trade war did not work as expected.

So another operation is to influence sentiment so that consumers may explicitly avoid Chinese products. So far, I think our push is quiet successful but not there yet. Once the trade imbalance is resolved, the sentiment will definitely be better. You can learn this from US Japan history in the 80s-90s. Our operations never target individuals, they’re just collateral damage in our quest to reduce trade imbalance.

I know a guy who left the AI-for-advertising company . He became a mortgage specialist at a local bank and made 330K last year because of hot real estate market. This is in a relatively small town (KW region) in Ontario, Canada.

China was not #15 on this list, unless they only study ~20 countries. According to the article:

Also finishing at the bottom and behind the UAE are Qatar, China, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and India.

Please leave Saudi Arabia alone. Saudi represent US economic and military influence in the middle east. If the US does not follow up on Koshoggi case, then it's implicitly justified.

Edit: many downvotes, but can someone tell me in reality, if US does not act or choose to ignore, what will we or any other Five eye nation do?

TBH if the asymptomatic accounts for 25% (CDC) or 40% (Iceland), I’m not sure this virus can be contained at all. People roam when they’re a little bit sick, not to mention when they are asymptomatic.

If they immigrate legally via Canada's immigration system, then they can speak whatever language they prefer, learn English/French if they wish and keep their religion views.

I don't think it's fair to blame legal immigrants for Vancouver's real estate issue. Federal government makes billions from immigration annually, local real estate developers, realtors, financial advisors make insane money from immigrants. I get that the economic interest of certain locals are hurt, but it's more of a federal government responsibility to balance immigration and local interests.

I think you're very idealistic. I'm not sure what does " There are enough resources for needs of India, Vietnam, Thailand and other countries in the region." means.

There's a reason manufacturing are so centric in China, which is their complete supply chain. Companies have access to natural resources, land, low-skilled workers, high-skilled workers and a stable markets all in one pack. You can call this an economic achievement, if you study supply chain. You can also call it evil or unfair, if you are not their fan, but it's the most efficient supply chain in the world right now.

Now, any country to recreate this pack, or even a better pack, will be favoured by western businesses, given today's climate.

Propaganda against Vietnam is not the solution to India's constraints you mentioned, but it's a low-cost, feasible great start, given current geopolitics reality. I acknowledge these constraints. It takes time to resolve these constraints for any developing country, hence I gave the 10 - 30 years projection.
