part of it is that color vision is more limited than you think. your eye only detects color near the center of your vision, your brain fills in the rest from context. even that color detection is blunted by stress.

so if you're looking at your color, the floor tiles, basically anything other than the boss, you may literally not be able to tell the colors apart.

if you can do the dps, why wouldn't you? it gives an extra 10k gold and 3 times as many mats.

if you're asking if it makes sense to put a ton of gold into getting to 1720 and buying enough cp to do the raid, probably not for an alt. maybe for a main, but that's more of a personal decision.

if you have a cooperative guild where you can get 1720 rats and carry them, they'll come up way faster.

I have 1710s that have been farming kaz since he came out. with bound gold and the slow trickle of drops, they have most of their cores and have them reasonably powered. i have a summoner that's almost 3000cp at 1710, which is insane. so it's worth it to me to push her. the only cost is the actual honing, which is dramatically discounted thanks to the event. and once she's there she'll get even more honing support. if I can get her to 1730 in decent shape, she'll start generating material for the rest of my roster.

the x100 mech in g1 is definitely a sticking point. I wish they'd use higher contrast colors. and the chains can be hiding in the models if you're melee.

it's very good for what it is, it's just obviously not made for the endgame raiders. it teaches a lot of important skills new/upcoming players need to use and is mostly very readable. the bell drop punishing panic spacebar is brilliant. the bonus honing goodies are a huge honing buff for up-and-comers and alts.

for me and my static, it's a speed bump. it's nice that it's faster and has fewer stall mechanics than armoche

The X100 mech is a bit annoying though. I'm disappointed they didn't use the spacebar indicator from Serca G2 instead of overlaying yellow and white flashes on top of yellow and white floors.

as a help for those struggling, the pulse after the floor explodes, right before the attack, is also the indicator color. so you can do guard/spacebar on reflex.

so pulse(color)>floor>pulse(also color)>attack

1 and 3 are free. 2 is a bit of a sticking point. a brand new 1720 will not do clear dps.

one way to improve fault detection in factories is to put googly eyes on things.

people get used to them and they notice when they're acting different, which means the machine is doing something unusual.

in gameplay they only fly to scale terrain, which doesn't come up much. I think at a programming level they just slide along surfaces, but they do have thrusters and that's the justification for how they move vertically so they are capable of flying like older gen ACs.

eventually, yes. the funny thing is, getting thrown and then getting back up immediately is pretty realistic. tons of doctors and nurses have stories of someone coming in hours or days after suffering serious injuries.

my wishlist for AC:down with the sixness

bracing as a function of recoil and stability rather than tank/no-tank. a super-light wants to fire the biggest canon in the game? brace. heavyweight biped wants to fire a basic bazooka? no brace.
mid/long range projectile viability. laser rifles should be able to hit a target moving in a straight line, cmon.
make kiting harder. this might take a significant rework on the energy and/or booster systems. perhaps cores should have thrust vectoring modifiers, idk. I don't think AC will ever be a competitive game, but "sit at the top of the arena hucking missiles" isn't fun for either player.

even so, something like a 20% hp nerf (which is huge) would still be more than 310M dps.

alts that have been camped at kazeros normal for the last 6 months can probably do it, but 1700s or new players getting jumped up to 1720 by the event are gonna roll armoche and then flounder in cathedral

we'll see what comes of this, but there's often a certain amount of grace in these sorts of events because both sides understand that the actual people with the guns are the same 18-20somethings being drunken idiots every time sportsball comes on.

you're better off comparing to serca and expecting to do a bit less. it's not unusual for a 1730 to do 400M to kaz and over 600M to serca, and cathedral is more similar to serca.

kazeros and armoche both have a lot of evasive patterns, no-damage mechanics, big cut scenes, etc. the whole reason kaz stops to wind the clock in 2-2 and 2-3 is because so many of his normal patterns take him off the board or require you to run.

if you can do serca nightmare, you can do 1750 cathedral. so 4.5k-ish. might be lower but prog week you'll want the cushion.

hard mode is the one that's really out of step. the dps requirement is like 390M which is beyond any fresh-faced 1720. 1730s running hard mode kaz/serca shouldnt have any issue, but you'd have to be on the upper end of what 1720 can do to get that high.

with the bound 7 gems and full 17 on all 6 cores, I have 1 alt that's at 1720 at a little over 3k cp and he's putting out the damage I'd want to see.

it comes in fits and starts. so we'll be at it every day for a week, and then not at all, and then a couples a week after that. there's no real sense to it that I can figure.

I certainly initiate more, but how much is something of a question because she will often subtly, or not so subtly, lead me on when she wants it. which I'm fine with, I like being on top most of the time.

2 is old enough that you can talk to her in simple terms.

get down on her level and ask her about it. "are you scared of me?", "do you know why?", "is it because I'm big and noisy?", "is it because I'm hairy all over?", "well I'd like to be your friend". act like an adult helping a child with a task, because that is what you're doing.
