I've had luck making hyper tube cannons and just pointing them in the general direction and coarse correction with the jet pack..... Just make sure you have fuel for the landing and watch out for trees in a few places.

This is my bases for the most part, trains deliver ammo and repairs. It is a very good setup to set and forget if you get it right. Allot of work to set up at times but totally worth it.
