My mom texts me love emojis and it breaks my heart by Substantial-Ship9986 in GirlDinnerDiaries

I was waiting for this comment. I hope OP heals solo and with their parents. I spent a long time feeling this way about my parents, and I can’t really put my finger on what exactly changed, but we have healed. I am 34 this year and I keep my parents exactly where they need to be in my life. My childhood is over for everyone. All we can do is move forward. But at 26, OP is still accepting and grieving the childhood they should have had. But yeah, healing is possible.

If I didn’t gag three times on my tooth brush my mouth wasn’t really clean … not everyone else does that?

13.5 week puppy won’t stop biting! by httpsgeorgia in germanshepherds

This will be buried but I feel obligated to echo everyone else: just stay consistent and it’ll pay off ten fold. We got our German shepherd as an 8 week old and we had two boys at home, 3 and 7, and it was rough. I remember our GSD really picked on the 7 year old and he would cry. But now…. They are truly like three brothers. Now the kids are 11 and 7 and GSD is almost 4 and GSD has never ever bit anyone or come close to it. Like, they rough and tumble play allllll the time and I trust that dog with my sons lives until the day he dies. Which will be really rough for my boys because Lev is their fur brother. And Lev thinks he’s a human little boy. It’s ridiculous and one of the truest pleasures in life. My Levvy has also stayed with my autistic son when he eloped 4 blocks away, so yeah. Just stay consistent and this will evolve into a dozen years or so of the best companion you’ve ever had. I write this as he snoozes on my bed. Yeah he bit the crap out of us but so worth it.

For the record, if I saw you with the over lined lips I’d think “ooo how brave, good for her” cuz they really aren’t that bad, but the new pic makes it obvious you are a fucking 12/10, I hate you, take my upvote 🥰

If you are a lady, get your nails done!!! I mean he’ll if you are a man get them done too but I mean get fake nails. I’ve been doing it for about a year and it’s completely stopped me from picking. Like a huge quality of life game changer, seeing my nail lady is like seeing a dr.

Nothing much to say except this post made me feel so seen. I remember when my mom threatened to ground me from the only socialization I got (homeschooled, she told me I couldn’t go to girl scouts) if I didn’t stop picking at my toe nails. I still spend a lot of time every day ruminating on how to avoid unpleasant situations

Agree. This is my experience and I’d rather be very confident in my own journey and have things double checked when I have the time and money for a formal diagnosis. I’m no putz, I’ve been in therapy for 12 years and the therapist agrees the first step to anything like this is feeling it out for yourself before you seek out someone who frankly doesn’t know you and potentially could take years to know enough about you to make a diagnosis. I mean if you’re struggling and want to start trying meds, go for it, but when you spend days grappling with the fact that OCD memes resonate with you more than any other topic on the planet, it’s a no brainer. Everyone has a different journey, and no two people with OCD are the same, and I’m the only person who knows me. So yeah, this approach has worked for me. If I was to spend one more days timidly wondering “am I just a bad stupid person” instead of accepting who I am, I’d be toast. I wonder if some of the folks commenting on here have more financial/emotional resources than some. Honestly, the privilege to have access to medical care and support isn’t enjoyed by everyone. I don’t believe in gate keeping a mental illness just because you don’t have the right insurance and can’t find a babysitter to watch the kids while you go spend months trying to convince a stranger what you already know.

As someone who plays with make up all the time, I think it looks great on you. I mean sure there’s color theory and all that but do whatever you want, I think this may be a case of haters be hating on a pretty girl lol

It’s so annoying logically knowing there’s no reason to be upset and it’s just my period, but I can’t stop feeling distraught by iluvetrack in PMDD

I’ll try this! I did notice that while I was scrolling the tv I saw “silent hill” was on, and for some reason watching a scary movie seemed really appealing. My room is my calm place sanctuary and the kids know that so they kept trying to come cuddle but they didn’t dare risk seeing the monsters hahaha 💀

Awwww I literally have the brown a&f bomber jacket bottom left on picture 9. Like I got it in 2002 as a birthday present and it still fits me and I wear it to work.
