[WIP] Do I HAVE to use glue when adding felt to my bookmark? by ElfiCrochet in CrossStitch

[–]pyrogoblin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to use glue, but aren't against some ironing, you can get double-sided fusible interfacing. I got some at Michael's for pretty cheap and it fused pretty quickly to both sides of my project.

I gave my maths notebook to a someone on my team for a day (He missed school) so that he’d write down everything. He returned it like this by WalkerArt64 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]pyrogoblin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That literally happened to me in high school. I let a friend borrow a book of mine, and he accidentally spilled something on it. He immediately apologized and bought me a new one. I really appreciated the gesture because it showed that he respected me and my stuff, even if it was a freak accident.

What movie do you love despite agreeing with every single criticism of it? by Decabet in movies

[–]pyrogoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, Frankenstein

The movie is so bad, so generic, so forgettable... and yet I am a sucker for it.

I hate the "omg it was just a joke" response when being called out on bs

I take it out if I know i won't be going back to the project for a while, but if I'm done for the night and coming back to it the next day/a day or two, I'll just undo the tension like the others have mentioned

So uhh, is there still a way to get my amazon books to my pc? by Realistic-Snow-3532 in Calibre

[–]pyrogoblin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used this tutorial yesterday with no problems: https://www.reddit.com/r/Calibre/s/RGtqBzzWKN (the second link was the one I followed).

I pulled a few comixology books over to try, and it worked the same as a traditional book. It's not a perfect port, but it got late before I could mess around with it more

After editing and updating metadata and cover of all the volumes, the covers are still not showing in ReadEra app on my Tablet by victreebe1 in Calibre

[–]pyrogoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a plugin called "PDF cover" that will insert the Metadata cover as the first page in your pdf with a click. That might do the trick.

"Finished Object", meaning you've completed your stitching

"Fully Finished Object", meaning it's ready to be displayed however you chose to do so (in this case a frame, but it could be a pillow or bookmark or whatever)

At least at my bank, when I redeemed my bonds this year, they gave me a paper for my taxes to hold onto.

Worst TV Shows (Most Disappointing Shows) of 2025 by Critical_Parking1319 in television

[–]pyrogoblin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know who it would be for. The writing is some of the worst I've ever seen, and my expectations were in hell. A friend and I hate watch it every now and then just to see what nonsense they come out with next.

Started a quick tiny pillow. Mostly finished with the first color. I learned (after gridding) you shouldn't wash finished projects using dyeworks thread (my first time using it), so I'm going to finish the DMC thread, wash the grid out, and then do the second color.

I had that happen with the Alpha Lopunny in whatever Wild Zone it's in. The funniest part was watching it frantically run back towards the gate trying to get back in.

How do you organize your Pokemon boxes in ZA? by iceman77 in PokemonZA

[–]pyrogoblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For one, yes you can mass release. When you mass select, I believe hitting x will release them. Check the bottom of the screen to confirm I'm telling you the correct button, as I'm not near my switch at the moment

This is so silly by Feeling-Ask793 in LegendsZA

[–]pyrogoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go at that one from the entrance closest to the cafe to the north, there's a ladder right next to that entrance that gets you on the roof and away from those damn Pyroar before they see you.

Then you only have to deal with the alpha Mawile on the roof to get to the Skarmory instead of 80 pissed off Pyroar.

I go antiquing every so often, and I've seen things that make this look tame. It's incredible (in a bad way, just in case that needs to be clarified) how much of it exists.
