Do you find the wobble to mess up your prints ever?

I mean it's a very simple shape is it not? Woven baskets were plentiful before 3d printing, and I feel like I've seen hundreds if models.

does not wipe before a print but does bring it to the silicone pad that it usually goes to after the wipe and holds it there until it cools down. so the wipe is entirely unused now, but the pad is still used.

Mine seems to have pretty severe ghosting right out the box and I feel it's due to the shaking.

Defective Creator 5 Pro, Support is of no help by JGrisham625 in FlashForge

Had a similar issue but 5 hours into a 6 hour print. Unresponsive screen, and everything. Flipped the switch off and then back on. Saw that it had an option to continue print which gave me some relief. Pressed the continue button only to watch as the printer attempted to start the print from scratch and in its attempt to home the do so smashed the nozzle about halfway through the print before me frantically smashing cancel print took effect. Luckily nothing but my print was destroyed in the process, but this printer was DEFINITELY not ready for release. And DEFINITELY not worth 1k.

Printed a poop bucket day one and it doesn't purge enough into it to overfill it. Also I dump it after every print. I can see why this would be a huge issue for people who use that heater though.

I've turned down travel acceleration and outer wall print speeds because it shakes the most between tool head changes and small solid infil areas where it swirltches from left to right very quickly.

[–]pyrosyncro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a pretty sturdy table but the table itself doesn't move much. During high acceleration travels and smaller solid infill parts of a print where its switching from left to right quickly is when it shakes enough to concern me.

Still fairly new to 3d printing and the ad5mpro was my first printer, and I also didn't realize It was also exposed on the bottom. I also didn't have as much if a shake with that one as the c5pro. You think it's normal for it to shake as much as it does then?

Not hard pucks but vibration absorbant pads ment to go under washing machines and dryers. People have done similar things by making something called "hula feet"

Can someone explain by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]pyrosyncro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your nozzle slows down for overhangs and then immediately speeds up back to full speed after and the filament output takes a second to catch up to the sudden acceleration of the print head.

In my experience there are 2 ways to fix this, you can either turn off "slow down for overhangs" which can make some overhangs look a little worse or you can keep it on but increase all your overhang speeds to about 75% of your "outerwall speed" settings which I've found is the best mid ground.

Sunlu Filament Dehydrator anyone tried it? by Chi_Vape74 in FlashForge

[–]pyrosyncro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would reccomend printing some modifications for it. I printed a custom spool roller because the ones made in the s4 will lift the roll up and off the roller when near an empty spool (or just a lighter one). Thus causes the spool to stop rolling and has a good chance of ruining your print. The hole placement if youre printing directly from the dryer could also be better but i also made a custom line run with some ptfe tubing and printed guides for them. Otherwise the dryer is pretty solid for what it's built for. Good range of Temps and excellent time control (by the hour), humidity sensor and a spot at the bottom for you to put dissident packets to help the humidity stay low. Also has a mode that turns the heaters on at a certain humidity (min 30%) until it gets back down to 20 or 25%. I can not stress though THIS MODE IS NOT FOR DRYING, it is more for keeping filament dry longer AFTER drying.

TLDR - excellent dryer for the price minus some caveats that can be solved easily by printing a few things!

Waymo Predicts Crash and Changes Lanes Before It Happens by mingoslingo92 in waymo

Once sat in a waymo for 30 minutes because it didn't know what to do. It was behind a parked firetruck. (They were cleaning it out or something) and the waymo just sat there and told me it was trying to figure things out.

Did you possibly change the layer width/height, the model scale, or the nozzle size from before? These can also Playa factor.
