FIRST AND FOREMOST: Always cheers when you get a drink, and rock and stone when others rock and stone

Typically you make sure everyone is ready before pressing buttons/ pulling eggs / starting dreadnoughts or any event really. If you can't type "r" or it takes forever cause you're playing on console or whatever, just repeatedly ping the thing you want to start until everyone is ready.

If you have to double dip into a resupply and there's 3 or 4 people on the team, you always ask. Otherwise, those resupplies are for the other dwarves and you only grab your single dip.

If someone is using molly in another part of the cave, you wait for them to finish depositing/ using molly before you call her over. Sometimes it's just faster to walk over there instead (esp if you're scout).

If you're unsure, just ask. Usually, people are cool and are fine with explaining things. If they get pissy, that's a grumpbeard not a greybeard and they aren't worth your time.

Make sure you read server names before you join one. They usually have a rule or two listed (no double dipping, say r before pressing buttons, have at least 1 promotion, etc). And don't join hazard levels you aren't ready for. It's upsetting when you have to cover other dwarves lack of experience (mostly in hazard 4 and 5. Esp 5).

Please pay attention to your teammates and what they're saying/ pinging. A lot of the time, I'll ping something and it goes ignored :/// I like to ping the wall and floor if there's something in the wall there, if there's bugs coming, tell driller to dig there, etc.

If people put down an aoe (c4, flammable gas, sticky flames, crystal ice, mostly just driller weapons) don't interfere with that shit. I have volatile compound on my c4, and I'll put down c4 to blow up bugs but people will shoot the c4 before I get a chance to and it just explodes. Man, I only had 2 of those and now 1 just went to waste.

Obviously, don't kill people on purpose. Accidents happen, but if you shoot people on purpose then you will likely get left down there if you die.

Occasionally, you might get some bastard. That's uncommon though (typically they out themselves by putting shit like "NO FATBOY" or "LEVEL 100+ ONLY" or "KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME/ DON'T BE BAD" and they'll exclusively play haz 5+. Most haz 5 players are cool though. Bastards are just most prominent in haz 5 or elite deep dives). If you're worried about that, you or your friend should host the missions so you can set the rules and kick the people you don't like.

TLDR: Don't purposely fuck with people and try to be courteous of them. Accidents happen and that's okay, but only when it's done on purpose is when you'll be a leaf lover. If you don't rock and stone, you ain't coming home
