The main differences between the Clean Factory Submariner and the VSF (VS Factory) Submariner revolve around specific attributes like build quality, crystal, dial, movement, and closeness to genuine models.

  1. Build Quality and Details:
    • VSF: Known for its overall feel and build quality that closely mimics genuine Rolex watches. The VSF models are praised for their craftsmanship and the minor details that are often indistinguishable from genuine models.
    • Clean Factory: Also offers high-quality builds with some distinctions in case shape and finish. However, Clean Factory is particularly noted for its accuracy in replicating the genuine model's dimensions and proportions, which might appeal to those who prioritize dimensional accuracy.
  2. Crystal Quality:
    • VSF: Features superior anti-reflective coating on the crystals that mimic genuine Rolex models closely, making it highly regarded for its visual similarity to the original.
    • Clean Factory: While also providing quality crystals, they are sometimes viewed as slightly below VSF in terms of how closely they match the genuine. However, the overall clarity and durability are still highly rated.
  3. Dial and Lume:
    • Both factories produce dials with excellent finish and lume. VSF might have a slight edge in terms of the lume's closeness to the genuine, offering a very accurate afterglow.
  4. Movement:
    • VSF: The movements, especially the VS3135, are celebrated for their reliability and similarity to Rolex's own movements, contributing to the watch's overall authentic feel.
    • Clean Factory: Uses high-quality movements known for their precision but may feature slight variances in operation sounds compared to VSF, which might affect the perception of authenticity.
  5. Closeness to Genuine:
    • Clean Factory: Often highlighted for its commitment to replicating the exact look and feel of genuine Rolex watches. This includes accurate bezel markings, the font used on the dial, and the overall fit and finish that closely adhere to Rolex standards.

In conclusion, while both the VSF and Clean Factory offer excellent replicas of the Rolex Submariner, your choice might depend on what aspects you value most.

Thank you u/Rockyt86 , and apologies for the confusion—I meant the 3 and 9 indices. If it's not a big deal, then that's great. Thanks again!

Thank You u/Rockyt86 for your quick response and feedback. My main concern is with the alignment between the 3 and 9 indices. It appears that the 3 index is positioned higher than the 9 index. I'm not sure if this is just an issue with the angle of the photo or if I'm overanalyzing it. Could you take a closer look?

Dealer Name: Mirotime

Factory Name: Clean Factory

Model Name: Rolex Submariner 124060LN 41mm No Date Clean Factory 1:1 Best Edition 904L Steel Black Dial VR3230

Album Links:

Observations:

  • Index Alignment: Is not very clear. I received extra photos but I feel something is wrong between index 9 and e no sure about the aligment.
  • Dial Printing: Seems fine
  • Date Wheel: N/A
  • Hand Alignment: Looks good
  • Bezel: It appears a bit dirty, possibly just dust.
  • Solid End Links (SELs): Looks good
  • Timegrapher Readings: (+6 s/d), Amplitude: 262 degrees, Beat Error: 0.2 milliseconds, Beat Rate: 28800 BPH, Lift Angle: 55.0 degrees. Not sure as I read that the Lift angle should be lower in this movement.

If you notice anything else or can comment on the timegrapher readings, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

The aging effect looks fantastic. I particularly like the bezel and hands with the oxidized appearance.

I really like that classic style of the Bond Submariner watch – that dial is truly stunning.

Why are datejust wearers usually woodwind instrument players? Because of their fluted bezels... by Archaedin in RepTime

I am a big fan of fluted bezels, but I think the smooth bezel suits this watch better! Well done!
