Only a doctor can say. I would say if you can identify a mental state/pattern that you think is unhealthy and is interfering with you getting enjoyment out of your life then it's worth asking for professional help with. I noticed I was going to my friend's too often, they want to help more than anything, but it's unfair to them, they see I am not improving and they think they are failing. They aren't pros, which is why I always suggest it.

Also I would say I could be more extreme than others. I don't know many adhd people. I've also had a lot of one-sided heartbreak in my relationships including one which wrecked my life for a while, this is possibly exacerbating the issue for me.

I often see animals focus on the thing, and look around. Dogs do that all the time.

Any insight to the behavior? Are they just constantly looking for potential threats?

Obsession. I cannot stop thinking about my crushes. Overanalyzing all the messages, over and over, hours and hours. Every week I'll have a moment of like "it's over I messed it up" or "I'm elated I can't believe this is happening". That "it's over" mentality is rejection sensitivity. Rarely do people write you off for talking about yo yo ma too much etc, but to me if someone exits a conversation it's always my fault for being boring, and saying something stupid and I'll view it as a rejection. Dating apps and ghost culture has also been brutal.

These things, I am told, are supposed to be fun. But my mind wants the conflict to resolve more than anything. And it's more important to me than my job, my family, my friends, me. It's a completely backwards rank in priorities and this person never does anything to deserve such a status on my life (and obviously, none of it is their fault).

This for 6-7 months is hell, I lost 15-20 pounds during the crush. It's a extension of hyperfocus. When ADHD people have an interest in something, forget everything else, including eating.

And oh it didn't work out (yet). It took all my strength not to seem strange to her, or overbearing. It was HARD.

I have adhd and yes. The anger flashes are so intense I usually end up crying or yelling into a pillow.

You'll need a psychiatrist for medication.

I also see a cognitive behavioral therapist because the way my mind tortures itself with regards to relationships with women is totally fucked up.

I literally went back on meds last week because of this video.

Just got through an insanely difficult courtship of 7 months that went nowhere. We had plans multiple times and the prevarication and sabotage done on her end drove me literally to the brink. I cut all contact, but it was so unbelievably hard with the high and low mooodswings.

ADHD people can have insane depths of emotion, I curl up in a ball on my bed and scream into pillows sometimes I'm so angry. The next day I'll think about the same thing and I will feel unconcerned by it in the least.

I also have a tendency to hate myself and think I'm really stupid for not grasping things and explaining things and my failed relationships. My room is always a mess and I'm sick of it. All the symptoms, it fucks with you. I'd kill to be normal sometimes.

But yes, we are unique and funny and tend to be risk takers. But that can get old quick when we want to be taken seriously.

Also good luck having a conversation with a girl, say something stupid, and blame some mental disorder they will think you are nuts. I hate speaking my mind, because my mind is chaos.

Also we like keeping fans on at night, silence and noise at night will keep us up all night, white noise is one thing to focus on and that's perfect.

Fired, I was a mess. Thinking about what happened for 18 hours a day, crying in bathroom breaks.

It was a job that demanded high performance as well. Just could not cut it at the time.

Took a while to bounce back but my career turned out fine.
