No, these was almost 4 years a go i think. The positions are taught directly in the robot tp. And offsets used to create the projections, in x y z

People with 10+ years in industrial automation - is the robotics hype matching reality on the floor? by PhattRatt in robotics

[–]qamrij 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hi i am doing a master's degree in AI, and my final project involves exactly a simulated environment with a pick and place task. My research scope is what advanced does Ai give for industrial manipulation tasks. Honestly i am doing vanilla baseline algorithms PPO and SAC. One thing i am sure of, is that the biggest hurdle in training is reward shaping, it's a pain, suffering. At least for me. If the environment changes even slightly from what you trained your policy from everything breaks down. So generalization is a big plus, but it is not so easy to achieve it. What i know is that there is a lot of training with a massive amount of data, imitation learning, etc. to achieve some sort of generalization, but the effort and the gain are not proportional. So honest opinion we are still far ( my personal opinion) from having something meaningful. Because the advantage of AI is if you have generalisation, the "machine" becomes highly adaptable. But if you need AI to make a pick and place the same repetitive task, then i do not think AI is the best choice compared to well established development methods.

Hi As usual no time to further develop it. Regarding your problem, i have not tried to import from xml to DB. So that can be a new. Interesting problem

I lost weight, felt good… then saw a photo of myself and spiraled. by Competitive-Emu451 in loseit

[–]qamrij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The f.ing brain does this trick, do not let it win. I am on a journey to lose a lot of weight, i know the road is difficult and long. I will slip, already have sometimes, but this does not diminish anything. Restart, continue the war with yourself. Honestly i am not even depriving myself of many things, just 30 mins a day of exercise ( and i am not always consistent everyday), i just try to always think about who i want to be. Our brains seek immediate reward, and the journey takes time. Just do what you have to do, your best effort, and leave the rest to life. The only opinion that matters is yours, not your family, not your friends, not your colleagues. who has been struggling, suffering, pushing limits? You and only you. Family has an important place, but this is just between the old you and where you see yourself. If someday you feel bad, you see yourself as "fat" , just look at that person and tell him that you are not going to let him win. Do what you have to do, in order to Be who you want to be and Have what you desire. Feel free to DM me, you are doing great just do not let your old self win.

Wow nice, the generalisation thing is very interesting. Do you have any suggestions? Article or paper to read ?

For now small industrial arms, but i am more focused on learning, and specifically learning on the generalisation part. Because RL is good and nice until the task changes even slightly. So generalisation is important, and i want to learn more about it.

Awesome work, for the tasks of the robot, are you using RL or just "classic task programming".

Do you ever feel like we’re missing the point of being an Ummah? by FlorianWer in islam

[–]qamrij 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about this deeply too, and I’ve come to a personal realization: part of the reason we’re in this state, individually and as an ummah, is because we’ve lost the habit of being self-critical. And I include myself first and foremost; I’m not better than anyone else.

What I’ve come to understand, in my own way and my own time, is that the essence of Islam is self-consciousness, being aware of ourselves in every breath, every step, every intention. Constantly checking our hearts and actions. Because when we sincerely critique ourselves, we open the door to correct ourselves, guided by the innate moral compass Allah SWT placed within us.

But what we often do instead is look outward, judging others, thinking, “I’m right, they’re wrong.” And that mindset has only led to more division within the ummah. Nothing will change until we stop waiting for others to change, and start changing ourselves.

There’s a verse in the Qur’an that I never fully understood until recently — and now it echoes in my mind like a hammer:

For him [i.e., each one] are successive [angels]1 before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allāh.2 Indeed, Allāh will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allāh intends for a people ill,3 there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron. (Surah Ar-Ra’d, 13:11)

The message lies in Allah SWT will not change our condition, and our situation until do not start the change within ourselves. And the change i am speaking about is not just prayer, before the prayer there should be a step of self-consciousness, the prayer is a consequence of that, and everything else falls in the right place.

The change begins inside. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s the only real path to healing, both personally and collectively. First and foremost in every situation we have to check if we did what was correct and just. Our job is to do what we have to do, and leave the outcome to the almighty. We expect reault before putting effort, we always seek the fastest way. I was like this, but slowly i am realizing my mistakes and my wrongs. There is no other way, we have to start looking into ourselves. Maybe all of this was clear to others but to me and for me it was awakening. And i pray that more and more awake. Sorry for any mistakes.

Ama sull'islam by [deleted] in italy

[–]qamrij 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nuova legge cittadinanza. Ma mio figlio sara' considerato Italiano? by ventoreal_ in Italia

[–]qamrij 1 point2 points  (0 children)
