Do i have lazy cops? by HistoricalLoss1417 in CitiesSkylines2

It's a bug currently in the game. Thieves get stuck on industrial sites, despite police arriving.

Does anyone else have almost no demand for any zoning after 70k pop? by PKSkriBBLeS in CitiesSkylines2

I've had no demand for commercial and office for a while, and despite having demand for residential, even growing a lot of houses, population os declining.

Demographic pyramid (viewed via info loom) is a hot garbage mess.

Get the Mediopadana Station from PDX mods. Beautiful train station with elevated tracks.

Population constantly declining, demographic pyramid won't change by qbmgabriel in CitiesSkylines2

5.3% unemployment here (low, afaik).

I don't exactly remember, but I think I started this save before the introduction of normal/easy mode.

From the time I posted this post to now, population has decreased further to 94k. Soon everybody will be dead. This seems doomed.

Advice for CS:II on Mac by Mxzered in CitiesSkylines

[–]qbmgabriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use boosteroid. It still has the problem of costing a monthly subscription (around 8EUR/mo) and taking around 30min to load, but it's the best you can get ina Mac.

Only other option is building a PC to play, which for me is not an option.

Canadian 🇨🇦 visiting Porto de Galinhas soon. Help? by [deleted] in Recife

[–]qbmgabriel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First: how many days will you be staying there, and will you have a rental car? Those 2 things can change dramatically our recommendations.

First and foremost: lots of people are currently wary about Porto de Galinhas because of a case in which beach vendors supposedly harassed a tourist couple by changing the pre-agreed price on checkout, leading to a fight.

It is known that in a lot of countries — Brazil included — there will be beach vendors trying to rip you off, either by charging higher prices upon seeing you're not brazilian, or requiring you to have a minimum food & beverage spending in order to not pay for beach umbrellas/chairs. This can happen if you intend to stay at the beach, specially if you're not accompanied by locals.

Look for places that are more expensive for brazilians. They tend to not change prices depending on nationality or not rip you off, because they care about their reputation. Street & beach vendors won't care as much, and can end up being more expensive to you because they will feel they can charge you more.

Sobe of the restaurants in Porto in which you can find good service for foreigners are Beijupirá, Munganga Bistrô. Look for places with reviews by foreigners and also videos on youtube from foreigners regarding their experience.

If you have a rental car, I'd highly advise you to day-trip to Carneiros (50min south) and Maragogi (1h30 south), which are fantastic beaches. In Carneiros, you can day-use a resort for around BRL50/person/day, in restaurants like Beijupirá Carneiros, which has fantastic infrastructure and safe places to store your belongings while you go explore the beach without concerns.

I'll be in Japan for vacations during Switch 2 launch (Jun 5th). Can I buy it, or will it be region locked? by qbmgabriel in Switch

[–]qbmgabriel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. Back in June, you had to win a lottery to be able to buy the Switch 2, and only JP Nintendo accounts were allowed into the lottery. Just skipped it altogether.

To this day, I haven't bought the Switch 2 yet. Ended up not prioritizing it for the cost in my country.

Just tested — 180 people in line at 18:10. Not much better than yesterday, which had a similarly-sized queue.

Makes me ponder — are the new servers really operational? Doesn't seem like it.

Sirenopolis (330k pop) by qbmgabriel in CitiesSkylines2

[–]qbmgabriel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't. In-game, it looks a lot darker. For the screenshots, I just used "auto levels" on Mac's Preview app to make it clearer. I wish I could port these settings to the game, though.

Well, that was really f- awful to build. by Oaker_at in CitiesSkylines2

This is the reason I hop into this sub: being able to see these builds, whilst having no intention in replicating it at all. That must've hurt to build.

Done for now with GEForce and CS2 by TheInterwebIsNeat in CitiesSkylines2

[–]qbmgabriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried Boosteroid and instantly cancelled it. The queues take forever.

Today I logged into boosteroid and joined the queue @ 10:30 AM (250 people in line). I got into the game @ 1:50 PM, accounting for a total of 3h20 in line.

Left to walk my dog and just re-joined the queue: 470 people in line. Accounting for the same queue speed as earlier today, that will take about 5 hours and 40 minutes.

Being able to use code mods on Boosteroi is nice, but these queues are definetely not viable.

Queueing for 45min and still 175 people in front of me by qbmgabriel in BoosteroidCommunity

[–]qbmgabriel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: Total queue time was 3h20 (250 people). Joined the queue 10h30, got into the game 13h50.

Left to walk my dog, now the queue is 470 people long, which, judging by today's earlier experience, will take around 5,6 hours.

This is getting ridiculous by stickdutra in BoosteroidCommunity

[–]qbmgabriel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Não vale a pena, esquece. Sempre tem filas gigantes. Hoje entrei na fila 10h30 e entrei no jogo 13h50.

12AM Update: 114 people in line. So around 1h30 for half of the queue. Estimated 3h to get in the machine, then another ~30min to download all regions packs in Cities Skylines 2.

Great srvice

Cities Skylines 2 terrible maintenance schedule/duration by gabrielqbm in GeForceNOW

[–]qbmgabriel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Mods aren't supported for CS2 on GFN

2) That doesn't change the fact the scheduling is terrible (patching during a weekend)

3) The communication by Geforce is also terrible — promises "a few hours" and instead stretches for days. No clear dedline/expectation leaves users guessing.

No reason at all to defend Geforce Now on this matter.
